Trying to decide which hotel to stay at for the last week of February 2017. I am tossed between POR or CBR. We are a family of 5 which includes 2 adults & 3 lil kids under the age of 5. I would like a hotel that will be comfortable for all 5 of us. Thanks ahead of time for your input.

We've never stayed at POR, but we loved CBR. CBR rooms are slightly larger (largest rooms of the mods) and the pirate themed pool is fun for kids. In addition, every "village" has its own quiet pool if you ever wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main pool. Some people don't care for CBR as it is large and spread out with multiple internal bus stops, but we didn't find that to be a problem (we actually found the transportation to be quick and efficient). We loved everything about CBR and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Good luck :wizard:.

We like CBR as well. The larger size makes it feel less crowded, and as @mickeynut1 states, the quiet pools are excellent for some down time. The food court has quite a selection, and Shutters is a pretty darn good sit-down restaurant. The main pool has a lot of activities for the kids, and if you and your spouse want to have a "drink" at the main pool, there is a bar there. Also, the main pool is at OPR, so you can bring your cups and fill them up at the food court.

With that said, you can't go wrong with either...from what I read in reviews about POR.

I've never stayed at POR, however we were disappointed with CBR and won't stay there again. Way too crowded for us. The only other mod we've stayed at is CSR which we really loved.

POR hands down. CBR is our least favorite moderate and there has been some really bad reviews lately.

The only moderate we have stayed at is POR. It is not as big as it looks/sounds for walking, the theming is great, Bob is wonderful entertainment in the bar at night. I can't think of any negatives other than it is really popular.

But we are staying at Caribbean Beach for the first time the second week of February. It is a little cheaper, the rooms are a little larger, and we want to try something new. There are people that love it.

Ultimately, I think it is personal preference.

- They will both provide the room you need
- February means the pool is probably less important
- CBR has pirate pool and splash area
- POR has access to their main pool and POFQ with a brand new splash area
- Both are large (footprint) resorts with CBR being the largest
- CBR pay for a preferred room to be closer to hub (only resort I think this is important)
- POR has boat to Disney Springs if that is a destination
- CBR room rehabs are only about a year old
- CBR has no elevators and POR has none in the buildings with rooms for 5
- CBR is a tropical theme and POR has southern charm

My personal pick would always be POR, but everyone should pick the resort that has the most appeal and offering that works for their family.

We are staying at CBR next week... we liked POR but it was very crowded. The pool was always crowded, the hot tub was impossibly crowded and every meal there was a madhouse. I don't know if we will like CBR better but I'm excited for a change.

We stayed in CBR 2 times ago, and POR last time. We fell in LOVE with POR. Absolutely loved it! CBR was nice, too, but we would choose POR again in the future. We did find the food court at CBR to be less crowded overall, though.

We stayed at POR the last week of Feb 2016 as a family of 5 and I would highly recommend it. We lucked out with a room close to the bus stop and food court, (the building right next to the preferred building). If we could go back again this Feb, I would absolutely choose POR.
