POR - Free refrig. & boat to DTD questions

Hi!
Just wondering, are the refridgerators really available for free now? Do I ask about it at check-in?

And...what time do the boats run to DTD, and how frequently?

We just spent the weekend at PORS. I asked at check-in about the refrig. The girl told me that most of the rooms have been refurbished and they have refrig. There are still some rooms left in alligator buyou that are not finished. This was my 3rd stay at PORS. We had BIG problems with cleanliness of the rooms on our 2nd stay, back in July. This time was excellent. The room was emaculate and the refrig was a great touch! The boats run every 20 minutes from 9am to 11pm between resorts, then from 11am to 11pm to Downtown Disney.

We had our first stay at POR Nov.9-16 in the Magnolia Terrace building. We had requested a frig. (when making reservations over the phone) and one was in the room. No charge. We didn't say anything at the front desk.

When we checked out on the 16th we were transferring to the Polynesian so we asked at POR for a little later check out time. At first they said yes and then immediately said, "Oh, no. Maintenance is going to be putting a new frig. in your room as soon as you leave." I said that there was already a frig. in the room and they explained that the old, black ones are being phase out and when they refurbish with the new frigs., they put in ones that fit the decor of the room and have some sort of cabinet for them. Not just sitting on the floor.

At the Polynesian, we also had requested one and it was also the black, old model that sits on the floor. Also, no charge. We were in the Tahiti building.

Great touch for them to finally stop charging.

We had a new fridge in the room on our recent stay at the AKL - it was beautifully themed to fit in with the decor of the room in a wooden cabinet. Very nice!

You can add a request for a refrigerator to your reservation before you arrive, or just wait to see if one is already in the room - if not, you just ring Mousekeeping and they'll run one right up to you. For free

I was at POR-Riverside on 11/24 and I believe all of the Mansion rooms already have a fridge.

The boats run every 30 minutes until 4:30pm.....after 4:30pm they run every 15 minutes until 11pm. A nice relaxing trip! Have fun!!
