We are a family of 5, looking at POR for our next vacation. I would like to hear the good and the bad for this resort. How is the bus service?

Also are there trundle rooms in the magnolia bend area? And is this a resort kids will enjoy?

We have stayed at POR twice and LOVED it. First time for 6 nights in 2005 and then 12 nights in 2007. Our kids are now 14, 9, and 5. They really enjoy this resort. The pools are fun, the marina area is beautiful, the AB room theme is fun. The trundle beds are only available in AB, not MB. The arcade is pretty boring in our opinion, but we spent quite a bit of time in the arcade at the Contemporary when we arrived early for our CG ADR. That arcade rocks! :) All in all, we adore POR and can't wait to return.

We've stayed there twice. loved it both times. PP is correct AB has trundle beds, not MB.

the mian pool area is great, the kids loved it - we adults LOVED the spa (i told the kids it was the adult pool).

The resort is large (lots of walking), but very, very pleasant and beautifully groomed.

There are very differring opinions on the buses. we found the bus service to be okay. certainly the mornings, or leaving for the parks were good - the buses would come regularly, and usually no one had to stand. But leaving the parks, any park the buses were crowded and if you leave the park at closing, be prepared to wait and stand on the bus as they fill them to capacity.

The food court is decent, a good variety of food.

Fulton's Ganeral Store is a good place to shop, either for forgotten common items, or for souveniers.

All in all, POR is an excellent resort, but having not stayed at any other Disney Resort, my opinion is a bit biased. Trying CSR next time, if that doesn't work out, then it's back to POR for us.

I have to agree on this. It seems that the busstops for POR are almost always the farthest from the park entrances LOL and the lines are long at park closing. But I also have to say that it is really our only complaint! Bus service in the AM was always great, whether getting to the park at normal opening, EMH, or for a pre-open breakfast ADR. We usually had fun in the lines at park closing and met lots of interesting people at this time. :)

We stayed in Building 14, AB - that was a fantastic location, especially for the kids (near the pool, dining, arcade and bus stops). All in all, we loved POR - it's a wonderful resort.

Have stayed at POR last 2 years in a row, building 14 first time and building 16 on our most recent stay (Aligator Bayou). Love this area as it is very close to main building and the quiet pool is alway sooo quiet. Perfect for us as we don't like the crowds at Ol Mans Island.
Service is always top notch and the breakfast served at Boatwrights is fabulous.
