POR elevator ?

We are staying at POR in late August in a garden view room.I was reading through the POR thread and it stated that there are no elevators in the Alligator Bayou section.When I made the reservation the CM said we would probably be in that section.We are traveling with my MIL and she is going to be using a wheelchair on our Disney trip because it is just too much walking for her.How many floors are there? I know she won't be able to handle stair multiple times a day and it might be hard carrying a wheelchair up and down. We have 3 rooms reserved. Will a garden room be on the first level? TIA!

There are no elevarors at POR I would call back and request 1 st floor and tell guest that you have a guest that uses a wheelchair and can't use the stairs.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe there are no elevators in the Alligator Bayou section, but there are elevators in the mansion section of POR.

There are elevators in the mansions buildings, but not alligator bayou.

Yes, call. They will be happy to accommodate you as best they can. The sooner the better.

Thanks for the tips! I called and had them add it onto the reservation request. One other question about the wheelchair, I thought I read somewhere that guest services at the resort had wheelchairs you could use for the time of stay. Is that true or is it just better to rent one from somewhere else? We rented one last time we went because I was not aware of this.
