POR Bus Question

We have planned to spend part of our trip at POR. Now I am getting nervous that there may be problems with the bus being full when it gets to the POR side of the resort.

We are planing mid Oct. The only time I would even care in in the mornings. We would be doing EE everyday.

The DD4 and DD5 get up at 6AM the latest year round no matter how late they have been up the nights before, if it's vacation or not. They get up EARL EARLY EARLY , so we might as well get a jump on the parks if we can.

Is it likely that we would be out there for the EE bus and it would be filled up? Would we be able to get in for EE at all? Should I switch the ressie to POFQ? ( I don't really want to).

Also what about going to BB of TL (whichever is open when we are there) will there be room for the POR people?

TIA

Have no fear Tia. The buses at POR are tremendous. We have never had a problem getting on them early in the morning. The same goes to Blizzard Beach, no problems. You will love this resort!
The only problem we have ever had is late at night coming home to POR. The buses tend to be very crowded. My biggest advice is this (and I wish we did this the first few trips). If you see that it is standing room only...WAIT FOR THE NEXT BUS. It comes momentarily and it will be the best wait of your lives if you don't have to stand the entire trip back, especially when your feet are killing you from walking all day. They have a great system now where they will keep calling more buses as needed. Have a wonderful trip!!

May I suggest that you go to the bus stop at Fulton's (the first stop in POR. We always stay in Plantations Oak Manor and it is a very short walk (for POR) to that stop. I always stand for a lady so I rarely sit when it is busy, but my wife can sit. It is true that the bus service is good (IMHO) BUT they do fill up at peak times and I have often seen them too full to pickup anyone from the last few bus stops at POR.

Just a word to the wise...

The South Depot (Riverside main lobby) is always the LAST stop for morning operations.

Routing typically goes as follows:

1.) French Quarter -> Riverside South Depot
2.) Riverside West Depot -> North Depot -> East Depot -> South Depot

Both buses go through the South, which is why you may see two buses for the same park arrive at nearly the same time. We stage out of a parking lot between the two resorts. As the bus exits, you can see the buses waiting to be dispatched. If a bus fills up, and leaves folks behind, or cant make another stop, then another bus is dispatched to get everyone.

With MOD operations, the last report I heard was that we had a 98% on time efficiency rating.

Thanks for the reassurance!

So it sounds like we should go to either west depot in POR, or over to FQ to catch the bus in the AM. But even if we don't a bus will arrive shortly, Right?

I have a Double stroller to lug on board with me so I'd like to get a seat so I can hold onto the stroller and the backpack (loaded with the bottles of water, rain-ponchos, camera, sunscreen etc). and the kids too.;)
