POR and trundle beds?

Hi. For those of you that have stayed at POR...any of you ever had a room with a trundle bed? We will be staying at POR in December and wonder if the trundle bed is worth the extra $15 a night. We are bringing my MIL and not sure how she feels about sharing her bed with our 4 year old--that's why we were thinking a trundle would give us the option to have them sleep seperately. Is it worth it? Are the only rooms with a trundle in AB? Thanks for any input.

We used the trundle bed for 2 out of 4 nights that we were there. Yes, they are only in AB. They are almost directly on the floor. On little wheels and it slides out from under the big bed. My dd used it and she was just 6, but rather tall for her age. She started coughing and getting all stuffy from being on the floor tho, so we moved her up to a bed with me. I guess it all depends on how your child reacts to dust.

In the past I've made a bed on the floor for my 4yo. I'd planned on sharing a bed with my 4yo in February since my sister decided to join us at Pop, but my son kicked and moved too much for my liking. The bed on the floor solved the problem.

I recently bought a "Ready Bed" at Target. It is a small inflatable air mattress with a sleeping bag built in to it. I thought that would give Jake his own bed in a situation like this. Target sells them and they come in different themes--I bought Jake Spider-Man.

Don't know if this link will work, but if not you can look it up on the Target website.

I haven't used the trundle before, but I think that you'll have the $15/night trundle charge and the $15/night extra adult charge, assuming that there are 3 adults in the room.

We also purchased the "ready bed" for our kids so we could get a king bed in a hotel room, and they could sleep on the floor, but the squeaking from them turning over on the plastic bed was so annoying that we deflated them after one night and they were directly on the ground. Now we only let them use the beds if they're not sleeping in the same room with us which really defeats the purpose of buying them!

Just wanted to add that my dd didn't like the trundle either, she found it very uncomfortable.

We had three adults on that trip so we actually ended up moving to a different hotel with a daybed in the room.

Have a great trip!
