POR and late check in

We will be arriving at POR around 10:30 PM. Has anyone ever called in the morning to verify your requests for a room or building? I'm a little concerned we won't get our requests checking in that late. Should we call or take our chances?

Verifying your requests isn't going to do much. Your room may be assigned but if someone else makes a request at check in you may be assigned to another room. At check in if your requests aren't met ask for them to move you the next day.

Keep in mind that they are requests. WDW will do their best to accomodate you.

When we checked in at POR late (about 10:30PM actually) due to airplane problems (supposed to be there much earlier) I called the front desk of the hotel to tell them about out situation and late check in. I said to the cast member that I knew requests were only request but could they PLEASE save us a non-smoking room. She looked at our reservation and said, "don't worry you've already been assigned a room with all of your requests" She said she would make a note and when we got there we had a WONDERFUL room waiting for us that did meet all of our requests (and even a few more that we didn't put down, disney room assigner must have been magic and read our minds.)

I know everyone says if someone else had requested our same requests we would have been bumped, so maybe a call that day isn't such a bad idea.
