We are staying at the POR resort with my two autistic sons and my 4 year old daughter. Is there a building you would recommend or any accommodations we should ask for? This is our first trip to Disney and not sure what to expect.
we stayed at PORS last year with an asd and ADD kid, when i booked i explained our medical needs ask they use no bleach when cleaning the room (sets off asthma) etc, THEY WERE BRILLIANT!! when we checked in the CM was french and dh is french so they were chatting away and an emergency warning came on his screen, he went a funny colour and said he had to get the Front office manager (i literally panicked thought there was a prob with payment) FO manager came over and explained he had looked at our requests, and changed the building we were in (18) as he thought the new room would be better for us.... room was perfect a few minutes walk to a quiet pool and about 10 mins to main block, which was a lovely walk around the lake he loved looking at the animals at dawn and dusk.
housekeeping came round and checked our "needs" we asked them to do our room between 10 and 11 every day, so when we got home at 12-1 for a rest we were never disturbed. i was amazed by the service we got. hope you have the service we got
