Oh Michele! We'll definately pray for him. Keep us informed. I'm PMing you my cell number if you get to check it.

Please pray for us. Roman was admitted to the hospital this morning. I am beating myself up, waiting for someone to get here to watch the kids so I can head out there. Sal took him to the ER last night and his breathing has only decreased since then. I'm a wreck and figured that typing out somethign to friends could help. Please keep us in your thoughts today. They are hoping to get him stabilize him today, but they were taking him for tests, so Sal had to hang up. Thanks guys.

Moments like these I hate living over an hour away from everyone.

omgoodness!

*Good Thoughts*

Oh Michelle! I will say a prayer for Roman. :grouphug:

Hello everyone. He's been admitted for the next 7 days with RSV. I'm exhausted and can't stop crying seeing him hooked up to all those monitors. The worst part is that i'm at home and Sal is with him again tonite. I had to let my parents get home and get some sleep and All I want to do is go back there, but I know it's best for the kids not to think something is really wrong. The good thing is they are asleep and tomorrow my parents will be here brigth and early and I can head back to the hospital. We can still hold him, but all the connections are scary and his cough is just awful. Thank you for all the good thoughts and prayers.

Oh mIchelle - I'm just now reading......Lots of prayers, good thoughts & I'm calling in my special "angel"reserves........Roman will be ok sweetie, I know it's hard to watch him....but he'll be ok. Soon you'll be telling us how you can't keep up with him! just like his big brother & big sis!

Seriously, if you need help, I can be there in an hour. I would watch the kids while you went to RMH - is he at nicu at Memorial? They better treat him well, I've donated a whole lotta money to that unit! I know you have my cell, so please all you have to do is ask.
:grouphug:

Nicole - OH NO!:scared1: EVERYONE? That stinks!

I'm home and just about to drop. I just wanted to let you know he is about the same, but his cough is more productive. THank you everyone for thinking of us. It's all that I can do not to cry some more. He's so small, and I feel like i'm failing him somehow.

Nicole, that is awful about your job, i'm soo sorry, did the company go out of business or something?>

night everyone.

Nicole--What happened?!?

Michele- I read your post about the nebulizer. DD has one, but only had to use it 2x. She went into respiratory distress (grunting to breathe) last year and we didn't realize it. :sad2: Called the doctor the next day to ask why she's grunting when she breathes. First time it was bronchiolitis, and the second time asthmatic bronchitis. But she was never tested for RSV because our dr. is old school. Anyway, you'll get the hang of putting the nebulizer together..just don't drop a piece down the drain like I did. (FYI, if you do that, you can buy a new tube kit for $10 from a medical supply store).

I arrived to quite a surprise today and I am happy to say that my baby is HOME!!!!!! We have ALOT to keep on him with. (Nebulizer, Inhaler, medicines, suction...) but I am soooo happy!!!!!

Thank you Thank you Thank you!

Thanks Nicole! I am thrilled :) He just wants to sleep and it's just such a relief. A nurse will be around tomorrow to check on him, then he has his follow up on saturday. Unfortunately with the cough, this has set back his hearing tests, but I can deal with that just to have him home!

Here are some shots from today!

Happy to have ROman going home, Sal ishappy they have PS3 in the hospital to borrow! hahah

Yay!!!!

I don't think I've ever seen a pic of Sal before (except wedding). I imagined him to always wear a suit like in the wedding pic. You know those people that get dressed up on Saturdays?

How old is Autumn again? She draws EXACTLY like DD. Of course that's how all kids draw. Why do kids think our arms come out of our heads?

Great news DMM!!! Glad to hear the little guy is home!! I know this sounds silly but if you need anything we are all here for you!

I personally don't know this person but a few guys from my fire house know her. The FDNY is So gonna fire her it's not funny, she will lose her pension that of course is nothing compared to going to jail. See what drinking all night does to you!! I've deleted her last name. Although it's all over the papers here in nyc.

**********************************************************

Drunken dialing's always a bad idea, especially when the number you're dialing is 911.

An off-duty FDNY emergency medical technician learned that lesson firsthand yesterday morning, after she supposedly made several fake emergency calls a few hours after police wouldn't arrest a bartender she thought had wronged her.

Pam******, 48, was "out cocktailing in the Bay Street area" Wednesday night, according to a police source. Around last call, a bartender took her car keys, afraid she might get behind the wheel drunk, the source said.

Ms. **** called the police at about 5 a.m. yesterday, telling them the bartender had assaulted her, according to court papers. But the officers who responded soon realized she was telling tales and wouldn't arrest him.

About an hour later, she made her way to her emergency band radio, and started ranting - on an NYPD frequency - about the quality and intelligence of Staten Island cops, the source said.

"Staten Island cops know nothing!" she allegedly said over a restricted radio band, according to court papers.

By 7 a.m., she had made her way to a pay phone near her Maryland Avenue home in Rosebank, and that's when she started calling 911, cops allege.

In a span of maybe 10 minutes, she made three bogus calls - two of them reporting that someone had jumped into Lower New York Bay, and a third reporting that a man with a knife had stolen her purse on Hylan Boulevard at Bay Street, according to the police source.

The man-in-the-water calls drew a massive response from police and the FDNY, who searched the bay near Edgewater Street for close to an hour, looking for a drowning man.

The police response to both incidents.Court papers don't detail the bogus water rescue call, but they describe another phony emergency cops say Ms. **** concocted at about 7:40 a.m. That time, she claimed that someone took her purse at gunpoint.

Cops were able to trace the calls to the pay phone, and when they arrived, Ms. **** was still there, the source said.

"I guess her hangover was still with her," the source said.Ms. **** is charged with reckless endangerment, falsely reporting an incident and obstructing government administration.

An FDNY spokesman confirmed that Ms. *** works as an EMT for the Fire department, but wouldn't say where.

So far, the spokesman said, no disciplinary action has been taken against her, but FDNY officials will investigate the incident.

Ms. **** has been an EMT for about two years, the police source said.

She's expected to be arraigned today in Stapleton Criminal Court.
