Orange County Register - The Walt Disney Co. is set to announce Wednesday a major expansion of Disney's California Adventure theme park in Anaheim, a Disney official said late Tuesday.

The park opened in 2001 across from Disneyland, where a parking lot used to be. But California Adventure has never been as popular as its classic 52-year-old counterpart.

Bob Iger, Disney's chief executive officer, and other top Disney officials plan to release the details of the expansion, renovation and new rides at a news briefing Wednesday morning at the company's Glendale offices.

A Disney watchdog Web site, MiceAge.com, has reported that the overhaul will cost $1.2 billion, including a lagoon show, a "Little Mermaid" ride and "Ratatouille"-themed roller coaster.

heard about this yesterday at the bussiness report.. that Disney Corp is goign to be spending 1.5 billion for refurbishing stuff at California Adventure and adding alot of new updates... they did mention about stuff above... and one thing they mentioned extensively was the Little mermaid ride... concept is almost like the nemo ride in Disneyland...

also as this going on hand in hand the develepment of a Disney outfit in Hawaii will start late 2008 dont know if it will be a DVC format resort or a form of amusement park...

Morning everyone Quick drive by, gotta get some stuff organized and then I have 3 baths waiting to happen by lunchtime AND I have homemade chicken soup to start for dinner! YUM!

Sal is working late today Major bummer, but at least we still have lunch. It's inventory time and he has to get all the paper work and junk together. Fun Fun!

I just checked my e-mail and noticed that I didn't make the moms panel either Thanks for letting me know! I never check that e-mail account It's just for junk mail and such!! I totally forgot about it.

Any big plans for the weekend here?? I have a post partum check up and then there is nothing exciting going on! haha I am hoping to stay home and it looks quite possible, because Sals work asked everyone to stay close to home in case they are needed. Gotta love OT!

Sadly i am not " disney mom" enough for disney anyway. They broke my heart last night. If you remember they said they could only contact those who won. I see the e-mail and thought i made it to the second round. Then i read the e-mail and was really let down. No big deal, I guess i just always be the Disney mom at my fire house who helps plan trips for the FDNY guys. Dw did'nt make it either.

Morning all

AT least you got an email...I did the mom's panel thing too & didn't get anything!!!!

We had chicken chili last night for dinner....YUMMY ! It was sooo good.

Today I'm off to school again - I've been helping with the vision & hearing screenings this week

So, Gracie's bday is next Sunday (the 28th). The ONLY thing she's asked for is a drum set! She's been asking for one for years..."not a baby one mom, a real one" Is 8 too young to start playing? Should I look at lessons? She is determined that she wants to do percussion in middle school. I still have no christmas ideas.....she saw that talking parrot thing & liked it, & I know she wants an ihome for her shuffle.

btw...Casey's political career has begun...she beat out 11 other kids yesterday to become the Band President ! I still have no clue what the band president does....but she;s it! hahahah

No big plans for the weekend here....probably going to see Game Plan tonight, tomorrow after soccer I'd like to go to a pumpkinpatch,,,then sunday we'll go to my mom's again.

Someone shoot me with a tranquilizer, i'm exhausted!! Rough night with Roman yesterday. I don't think we got any sleep at all.

Lunch will be Equally easy, I've already made the sandwiches and carrot and celery sticks as a side

Sal took care of snacks (apple slices with peanut butter) for the morning and afternoon.(Goldfish and pretzels)

I plan on doing no housekeeping at all today

Now I'm thinking of ordering dinner in. LAZY Michelle checking out for now!

Our neighbor's kid is 8 and has been taking lessons for years now. He is absolutely incredable!!! She is always saying "if it is too loud let us know" But we love the entertainment!!!! He is so good! Good Luck with the purchase!!!! (my kids drum set stays at nana's house )

Both of my lessons for next week called to reschedule. I'm thinking this is a bad sign. The one on monday is just the pre-lesson (where I don't get paid), but the one on Friday (was supposed to be Thursday) is my first paid lesson! (DId I tell you guys I'm starting to teach string lessons? I'm doing it at a bargain...only $10 a lesson.)


Its raining here too.

So DD kept saying she couldn't take a nap, so I let her watch a little TV hoping she'd zonk out. I really wasn't up for a fight. So I go in and shut off the TV and say, okay, lets go take a nap. And she says, "Can't, its too far." So I said, "Okay, do you want mommy to carry you?" "O-kay." She zonked out immediately in her room.

Hi all,
It's offical i'm getting old. Ds fell to sleep at 8pm last night, now most people have big saturday nights out. Well so did we, in laws watched him and me and dw went to shoprite to do our grocery shopping done at 9pm. That sadly was my big saturday night out, grocery shopping. The shoprite by me here in brooklyn is open 23 hours a day, except from 4am to 5 am, where they close to clean the store and restock. I got to admit the store was empty last night.
