Is anyone else kinda 'nervous' - like we're almost there, but what if something goes WRONG!?!?

I double checked allll my reservations ("How did I get such a great car rental rate? Did I put the wrong dates?!?!?...nope theyre right) I checked allllll my ADR's. Im just kinda NERVOUS!!!!

Anyone else kinda stressing? And in SHOCK thats it's only TEN DAYS AWAY?!??!

I am so nervous!!!! I always overplan, but I have been spending so much time on the DIS, that I haven't spent enough time organizing!!!! I have yet to cut one mickey head for my door, and haven't done all those things we are supposed to do like check and re-check the car rental rates, confirm ADR's, Fax room requests... it's kind of like I think it will all take care of itself. Gosh I hope it does! I did check the car rental rate last week and saved myself $107....but it seems that I could still do better!!!!! EEK!

Anyone using TGM? I am going to attempt to use some of his touring plans and wondering if anyone else is using him or have used him in the past?

I have not used TGM in the past, but I did subscribe several months ago for this trip. I have thouroughly researched every section, planned my park days, and made several notes from his tips. I will be using his touring plan and can't wait to see if it works as well as everyone says it does! I have certainly got my $18 worth just from the best park days alone.

So do you all think it's better to fax the room request or call them?
Last year we had a room in the 70's near the goofy water part. What building is that? I check in on the 22nd. Do you think I should call today?
I'm getting nervous!

I used TGM for our 2003 and 2004 trips and his advise worked out well for us.

We arrive early afternoon on Saturday 9/30 and have dinner reservations at Kona Cafe at 5pm. We are going to spend the afternoon getting to know POP and then after Kona Cafe we are either going to hit MK for Spectro/Wishes or MGM for Fantasmic. Haven't quite decided yet and will play by ear on that day.

Got my documents! Its starting to get real. Only 18 days left to go!

Again.....if this was already asked I apologize as I haven't had time to go through the pages I have missed.

We also are checking into Pop on 9/30 and then going to Poly - but for the luau. We were planning on going to MK after for the parade and Wishes - but isn't that a night for the halloween party? so I don't think we can. anyone know? We're checking out 10/8. Can't wait!

I just looked it up - it is not a MNSSHP night. Spectromagic is happening twice - at 9 and at 11.
Wishes is at 10.
The park closes at 11.
Sounds like a fun night, if you're not too tired!
I will be back home that night. :sad1: But I'll have my puppies! :goodvibes

yellowfish78: Thanks for the compliment on my Mickey Head. It grew out of my frustration with my local Home Depot. They NEVER had the right color, so I just took a few other colors and scanned them, brought them into my graphics program, fixed them up a bit and changed the color. I've been using that one since 2003.

OK, I had the "vacation nightmare" last night, and this one was really just weird. I dreamed that the DIS'ers decided to change from green Mickey Heads to yellow and orange donkeys, and, of course, all I had was the Mickey heads. The only reason I can think of for that dream was that I watched Shrek with my granddaughter last night, and I love Donkey! So there I was in my room at Pop on the phone trying to convince my secretary (back in the office) to print out the beautiful yellow and orange donkeys that I had just emailed her so that she could fax them back to me and I could cut them out and use them. After twenty minutes on the phone she reminded me that the fax would be black and white anyway, and I should just have taken my laptop to the business center and printed them myself. This is really funny, because I'm the computer geek here at work, and I'm always finding ways for people to do strange stuff like this. I guess my brain was on vacation!

And, just to make life more interesting, I checked my email at the office this morning, and I got an email from my brother (haven't seen him since the summer of 2003) who lives in Florida. He wanted to know if there was any way that I could arrange to be at WDW in early October, since he has a week long conference there, and he'd love to see us, and that my niece is getting married and she and her fiance will be with him, as, of course, will my SIL. I guess there was a reason why I planned this trip in October instead of our usual December! Now for the best part. I've been trying to convince my DH that a trip in March would be just what we need. He's been a little hesitant, but my DS, DDIL and DGD think it would be fun. My niece is getting married on March 17 in Jacksonville! I guess I'll be planning my NEXT trip in a few weeks! No post-WDW depression for me this time!

We leave in eight days trying to pack all of my six kids stuff plus hubby and mine. And that not enough I have the worst cold of my life  and each day one of my kids seem to get sick with my cold. This is our first trip and there is no way we can reschedule. And also not sure how many cool day outfits and warm day outfits to pack. We're staying 2 nights offsite and 10 nights at Pop Century. We are definitely going to need to do laundry. But do you usually go through more than one outfit a day. Also do you bring your own towels to the pool.

Thank you
Nicole

Cama - pack ALL HOT WEATHER CLOTHES! There's no such thing as cool weather at WDW in September.
Unless you're from the tropics. Then maybe it will be cool to you.
If you're worried, take a couple of light jackets or sweaters. Then leave them in the room.

DON'T STRESS! It will be ok! Even if you are sick, it's still the happiest place in the world. Just take it slow. Relax. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes
I'm taking my Ariel beach towel because I love it, but last year I just used their towels.

As far as the outfits, I don't know. :confused3 I don't have any kids.

I called POP a few minutes ago. The CM told me I have to wait until exactly 7 days before they have my reservation. I was thinking 10 was close enough!
The one I talked to said she didn't know the building numbers, but she knew which two buildings I was talking about (I think it's 6 and 10).
Last year we stayed in 6 on the ground floor close to goofy. This year that's a preferred room. :sad1: I am NOT paying 108 more bucks to have that room again.
She also said that building 10 (she didn't call it that - she called it the hot wheels building. heheheh. :teeth: ) might be half preferred now too. That's gonna suck!
I think I'll call back at the seven day mark then see what we end up with.

ooo i am totally nervous!!! esp. even more since we are driving. i keep thinking what if we get lost? what if there is an accident!! :scared:

Cama, you will NOT need any cool weather clothes, EVEN if there is a hurricane! it's hot hot hot!! bring a sweatshirt for each if ANYTHING.

Good morning Poopers ! :rotfl2: :lmao: You guys are cracking me up this morning.

I have 14 days left as of this morning. Two weeks from today

Next week is going to be crazy for me though so I really need to get most everything done this week at least by the end of of the weekend.

I sat down and organized all of our decorating stuff last night and still have a lot of Mickey Heads to cutt but I am oving right along.

I also need to put in my building requests and reconfirm all of my ADR's, reservations, car rentals, ect. :surfweb: I better get it done and stop spending so much time here in the DIS.

Yes - I know - Look I am still here :surfweb: instead of getting my actual work done today
