We went out to Hoss's last night for dinner... (LOL, I initially typed "Disney"). I had this delicious loaded baked potato soup. I've been searching for recipes on line, but they all seem bland. The soup definately had a bite to it. I'm going to try to make it, but I'm not sure how to make it have the bite.

Hi gang,
So at 4am i was awaken to a sick loud noise. I knew right away from the noise, nothing good would come of it. Apperantly some young kid, i would later find out 16, thought it would be cool to take a spin on his new motorcycle piss drunk. He was doing around 90+ mph and well lost control on my block. A parked car and tree slowed him down. He'll live but was really hurt bad, both his legs and one arm broken and he needed about 30+ stiches to his head. He was not wearing a helmet and admittied to drinking a bottle of 38 oz vodka and a 6 pack of beer all by him self.

The first arriving fire truck and FDNY ambulance all knew me, as i was checking the kid out. Without any gear i am useless at a accident scene and was just holding his head wound from bleeding and telling him to stay still(in case of spinal fracture) The NYPD on scene placed him under arrest, one was for driving while intox, But wait theres more. He had no license, no insurance and the bike was not even registered. So then mommy and daddy show up and are actually telling the cops that they bought him the bike for when he gets his license in december. The parents are really mad, they say the NYPD are overreacting and have no right to arrest thier son. They spent at least 20 minutes screaming at the cops and making a big scene.

Is it me??? First of all, why is your 16 year old child(yes, i said child) ridding a motorycle at 4am, drunk and you have no idea where he is, what he's doing. Then when he crashes the thing and totals it, along with someones parked car it's the cops who are wrong not him.

I moved out of my fathers house at 18, still untill the day i moved out i have to be in the house by 10pm if i had school and 11 if none and i better have been sober.Plus i had to always let my pops know where i was and who i was with at all times. I mean after all this is nyc.I remember once i came home from a sweet sixteen, i was 17 and while i was not drunk i did have the smell of liquor on my breath. My dad flipped out and i was in so much trouble for a long time.

The poor old guys who car was parked when the kid slammed into it, well the bike does not have insurance, so the cops told him he would have to take the family to court to get payment for his car. He did try to speak to the parents about it, he tried to explain that he was on disability and really had no money to fix the car. The parents of this kid told him to prove thier kid hit his car and take them to court.

Maybe a few shakes of Tabasco? You could maybe even add a few dashes of hot paprika or cayenne pepper or chili powder. Just use in moderation. I make loaded mashed potatoes all the time. They are SO darn good. I should try the soup too. I LOVE LOVE LOVE soup. Yummy! Hoss's eh? That's what everyone calls my hubby because our last name is too long. And that's also what Ry was called on his football team.

Morning everyone Long night last night! It's great to have Sal do all the night feedings, but when Roman wakes up, I still hear him and want to look at him hahah...

PJ, I know what you mean about parents nowadays! I can't believe those you encountered!! I had to be in the house by 10 every night, NO MATTER if I had school or not the next day. I moved out at 18, then went away to college, but on college breaks, the rules were still the same!!! Can you believe it??? It's amazing Sal could deal with that! hahaah!!

Hope you all are doing well! lucky me still has 3 kids asleep But I'm on my own this week! So i'm a bit nervous!!! Roman and Gabriel have a Dr. Appt today, so it's not that bad, since Sal took half a day to help me take them. (He has never missed any of the kids' appts. so i like going as a family).
I am nervous about going out with the baby though!!! YIKES!

Sal took the kids to get their costumes, Gabriel is going to be a Knight (which I think Sal only got him because of the sword! haha!).
Autumn is going to be a Princess of course.
Roman is going to be a pumpkin!! The costume is too funny, I had to leave the room to keep from laughing when he tried it on him at home. (My incision is KILLER if I laugh or cough!)

Hi all,
So we have a new captain at work. He seems like a nice guy so far. Someone mentioned to him that i was " disney crazy" and of course he comes over to me when i first started my shift to talk to me. At first i thought what could this guy want to talk to me about, i figured he wanted to lay down his set of rules and for me to make sure the guys follwed them. Like i said he turned out to be a really nice guy, but wanted to talk disney to me. He seemed to have some very interesting facts and rumors about disney. He told me he learned this on his last trip in april 2007.

Warning these are his facts and rumors not disneys or my owns.


1. Disney is planning to do away with thier busses, except from the TTC, by 2010 every resort will be connected by a monorail. Also by or near the animal kingdom there will be a new connection station, like the TTC by the magic kingdom, its name will be the TTC south. (TTC= ticket and transportation center) and basiclly it will be a switching station for the monorails, from there you can go to mgm, animal kingdom, or the Ttc by the magic kingdom to get to the mk or epcot. He explained that the TTC south by the animal kingdom will be the one to service all the resorts in the area, expect for the contemp, polynesian,or grand flordian that will be serviced by monorail the same way as they are now.

2. Never stay on site, it is too expensive and easier to just drive to the parks. plus you get all the same perks.

3. A 5th park will be opening by 2008 or 2009, it will be called the dream kingdom.

4. disney is really considering selling disneyland, they just want to focus on disnyworld in orlando and vamp it up.

So one thing i know about the FDNY and captains, is that you do not come out and just say to a captain your dead wrong about anything or any subject. Unless you are ranked higher than a captain, like a chief. Since i am not, i just kept my mouth shut and said wow, i never knew that.

Mommy to 3 is a fun job I love it so much and I still can't believe it! Kids are all in bed and I have an hour until Roman is up to eat, so I better go!! We're snacking on watermelon and I just dripped some on the computer!!

Yesterday the DOc told us we needed to get them because of having toddlers and esp. with the newborn, so DH and I are going to our Dr. together, next week.

Well I signed up the kids for Dance class this morning, thank goodness they let me do it online! I didn't want to go in! we switched schools, to one that is literally within spitting distance from here. I'm happy because in the nicer weather I canjust walk there with the kids and stay with ROman while Autumn and Gabriel shake it! I signed them up for classes starting in February and they go until June which is right before Mexico so they won't miss anything and then it gives me plenty of time to get used to having 3 kids and travelling around with them. The classes made me when the prices came up, thank goodness Nana (my mom) wanted to pay for it! hahahaha!! It's partner dance! hahah! So i signed them up to be eachothers partners. Then at the bottom of the page it said, PLEASE SEND YOUR BOYS!! I take it not a lot of boys take dance

CHRIS--> Yes, recovery is loooooong and slooooow. I remember these days very well, of travelling every day to take care of my dad, since I was the only one that could do it. It was rough, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I hope the Dr. visit goes well MY dad is totally back to normal 100% it's really nice to have him this way and great that he's changing a lot of his bad habits, that's the most important part.

I will have to take more pictures of the little guy! He already gained 1 pound in a week and grew 1 inch he's going to be a big guy like Gabriel! Mommy however has not lost nearly enough weight, I just had someone tell me that I still looked pregnant DUH! I just had a baby last week!!! (I hate people!)

Of course things here are barely moving. I'm getting to the point where I don't know what to do. Mom just doesn't seem to be getting better. Each day I hope that dad will tell me something good, each day he doesn't. When I try to ask him how he's doing he just gets mad at me and snips "fine". I don't know if I should call or not call, I feel bad if I don't call, but if I don't call I can't hear anymore bad news and can't get any sadder. She made it thru the surgery fine, why isn't she getting better? Sorry to ramble, I'm just not sure what I'm supposed to do. I'm trying to be as normal as I can here...but I keep forgetting things, my shoulders are killing me, I'm so stressed I would probably explode if anyone got me near an open flame! UGH

chris, it's a looong and sloow process please remember that. Your dad is probably just as stressed as you are and to the point of breaking. You need a massage! Seriously, a little R&R for you will NOt hurt and will make you ready to face more. You can only handle what your body can handle and if you don't take care of you, who will?

I hope everything else is going well with you guys and more pictures are to come! I am trying to get them to put on their halloween costumes to take photos of those too! But Autumn keeps saying "NOOOO not today! On candy day!!" I don't know how on earth I am going to take all that candy away and replace it with fruit! hahahah!! Sal says i'm no fun, but they will be none the wiser, and then Sal gets big bags of candy!!
