So...let's talk Christmas shopping? What's on your have to find list this year? Casey thinks she wants a video ipod, but only if they come out in colors before xmas because "black & white are too boring". Grace, well she still wants every thing she sees on tv! so who knows!

My sister is in town from TX and now SIL is in town from Germany. It's not as chaotic as I thought!! I am having a great time!! My sis leaves soon though and I am gonna be so sad! She's like my soulmate!!

I can so talk christmas shopping!! I have ordered some AG stuff with the free shipping code and I am going to order a ton more. The doll I have to order last b/c Jul doesn't know if she wants Nicki or the new Julie.

And then last night her cousin from Germany showed her a Nintendo DS in pink and Jul just fell in love. She said "can we go get one of those for me tomorrow?" then

I know, nothing like a little seasonal October weather to put you in the shopping season. I've been working on a list for a few months so I'm not caught wandering the stores like I normally am. Not sure what we'll get for DD...she needs clothes, but won't make it to Christmas...we have like 2 long sleeved shirts for her and one is too short.

Crud...I just looked at my Christmas list I started months ago...and I've only got stuff for my mom. Well...I think I'll get DH Lego Star Wars 2, and maybe a digital photo frame for my dad? Does anyone have one of those?

Thanks for the updates everyone. Guess what I did on the way home from a youth group meeting? Hit a rock in the road and got a flat tire! But as I pulled into the first available lot, there was another person getting their tire changed from hitting the rock, so he changed mine too...of course then it started pouring rain.

I already started for Ryan. He is pretty easy to shop for. I was going to get him a Wii but then he wrote on his list that he really wanted the Game Cube, so that's an option. And it makes me happy because it's less expensive than a Wii! Not sure what to get Terry. It's hard because he then somehow has to ship everything back home. I will probably do a stocking for him and then maybe one or two small things. He is getting a Xbox 360 and a flat screen tv (I think) for his welcome home gift, so that should be good! Everyone else is getting stuff from PQ.

Are we doing a gift exchange this year? I will be happy to head that up again if you want.

Lazy day for us here. We are enjoying the last few days of fall break. Have a good day all.

Well there is something to think about! I was hoping to get out of this one with little cost, but.... looks like there may be a change in plans! We'll see how much other stuff he gets and go from there. Man, kids are expensive!

TImmy - no rush really....Casey will just add them to her board. I still have yours from our party as well. it's sitting here in my basket on my desk that is literally OVERFLOWING! I have SO much crud to go thru!

That's my goal for today, get the kiddos off to school, grab a Starbucks and sit here and GO THRU the stuff!!!! not dis, not surf, but manage the pile.

Jen- Grace loves her pink ds she got last year...I have to say, the girls don't really play video games very often, & never really got into them...BUT they both love their ds's and Wii.....There's a ddr for Wii now, grace is all over that! & there's some walking Bratz doll? In general I'm against those big headed peg footed dumb dolls in the first place....but she gets me when she doesn't ask for anything else Grace did ask my mom & dad for a drum set for her birthday HELP ME

WHat are the kiddos all gonna be for halloween? mine haven't decided yet....Grace originally wanted to be Jasmine again - we saw a PINK Jas costume at TDS, BUT they don't come big enough..we need a 14 and the biggest anyone had was a 10-12. So now that she can't be Jasmine (for the 4th year in a row I might add)....she doesn't know what she wants to be. Casey hasn't a clue...although she knows she wants to go trick or treating, shes supposed to get her braces off on October 25th.

Busy weekend ahead.......today, Casey skating, theatre/Grace - girl scouts, Tomorrow Grace soccer, Casey Skating, then to my mom's , Sunday, we'll spend the day at my mom's......& I HAVE to sneak away & do some baby shopping too........ I hear there's a new little boy in town that might need/want some "stuff"

For christmas, I think I have decided to get Jul one of those Nintendo DS'. Her cousin has one that is in a hard case. Inside it held the player and all the little accessories, but when I looked online I didn't see any hard case ones. Anybody kwim? She lives in Germany so I thought maybe it is a European thing.

I was just going to go heavy on American Girl, but I think now I am gonna lighten up my AG list and add the Nintendo DS. Do they make them in blue? She used to be an only-pink girl but now she is a blue-girl. Last year she threw a fit b/c she had a blue coat so when she outgrew it, we got a pink one. Welllll, now she doesn't like pink...but I am so not buying a new coat!!!

Hi gang,
I'm back!!! Nope i did'nt go to disney or something. I had some sort of strange power failure last night at my house, actually it was my whole block. It was after midnight and we lost power for about 7 minutes. Anyway when the power came back on, my internet , phone or cable was not working. I have the 3 play plan, which is my cable company(cablevision) provides all 3 services ( phone, cable, internet) Anyway the repair man just left. He said some sort of power surge, shorted out the cable box in my back yard and fried all the wires for the cable on the pole in the back yard. It took him about 45 minutes, but its all fixed. I Can dis again (the non dirty dacing banana, CR )

So whats doing all!!! I was supposed to have halloween off, but one of the men that covered me so i could go to disneyworld asked me to work for him. SInce i owe him one, i have no choice but to cover his shift on halloween. I have a wedding reception to attend tonight. Ds is going too, we got him a suit, he looks so darn cute. He takes after his father when it comes to looking good in a suit.

Al right heres a question for you ladies, how long does it take you girls to get ready and all "done up" for a wedding??? We have to be there for 7pm, which its a 5 minute drive, we are leaving at 6:30 to be a little earyl and just in case. DW is already starting to get ready.?????? I plan to jump in the shower for 6pm maybe even 6:15 ish.


Oh, great news from the FDNY. We are in contract talks again. My current contract expired over one year again. So anything we get in terms of rasies will be 1 year back pay or retro. I know of the perfect place to spend the money at, can you say WDW???

On a side note the union was at my fire house a few days again asking all the employees what they like to see in the new contract. While everyone else was asking for a good raise or better retirement benfits, or more vacation time off. I asked for mickey antenna toppers and hidden mickeys for all the rigs. Hey, i can dream can't I?????

Ryan is going to be a Musketeer! His costume is super cute. Plus he got to pick a sword to go with it, so that sealed the deal. I swear he is like me with accessories! Expect instead of weapons I like shoes!

Thanks for all of the thoughts on the Game Cube. We'll see what happens. I need to price out how much it would cost to get the extra stuff for the Wii to play GC games.

Ry's B-Day is Dec 2 so we have that to plan for as well. He already got his Birthday gift though (a digital camera) before we went to WDW. Now I have a party to plan. And then Christmas!

I can be ready and out the door (even for a formal funtion) in 45 minutes. Sometimes it takes an hour, but usually not much longer than that. Unless I go to the salon to get my hair done or nails done, etc. I used to spend forever, but I realize that no amount of time can tranform me into a hottie, so I just do what I need to do and go on with my day.
