Morning all !

Hope everyone has a good day !! We are halfway through the week already !

Hey everyone we're home Our flight was of course late & we didn't get home till midnight last night.....

WHAT a trip! We got to Cape Cod on Thursday am around 10. Checked in...went straight to Plymouth and ate lunch at an awesome beachside resteraunt - gotta love lobster rolls in the summer on a beach! - Then we shopped & strolled...did the whole Mayflower thing, Plymouth plantation. Thursday night we went to a awesome clambake on the beach...Friday the team had practice at 2. So we went into Hyannis to shop/have lunch (I FOUND A SCRAPBOOK STORE ) went to the rink at 1 and we were there until about 4. Friday night I had booked a dinner cruise on Cape Cod Bay for the team.....it was a blast...we had a brand new ship - the Lady Atlantic all to ourselves! The cash bar kinda killed me though! Yikes! Everyone was tucked in bed by 10 Friday night...Saturday was THE big day. We were at the rink from noon to 10pm. I still can't believe the team won gold....i think i'm still in a fog. Saturday night we threw together an impromptu party back at the hotel for the team - pizza, pop, ice cream and of course we rented the hotels conference room and a tv/dvd to watch the awards ceremony over and over and over.....Sunday after prying casey from bed at 11AM! (I guess winnning gold makes you tired!). We drove to Boston and did Freedom Trail. We saw the USS Consitution, Quincy Market, ate lunch at Cheers, and did te whole trolley tour thing. Sunday night we went to Salem and did the whole witch tour thing. Monday we went whale watching....Tuesday we rested & just hung at the hotel until we had to leave.

Oh wow Chris! How exciting! Thank you so much for sharing those pictures. Nothing wrong with being proud!!!! I would be too!
Sounds like you guys were able to do a lot of fun stuff while you were there as well. I would love to visit the East Coast and do all that touristy stuff.
I am glad you are back and safe! Are you going anywhere else this summer?

Thanks everyone...Today has been a laundry of all laundry days.....but the good news is that I'm almost done!!!

The weather is so weird....I went to Walmart...we're having Casey's 13th bday party tomorrow night...to buy all the stuff...& when I came out it had poured...my car was covered in rain and those darn helicopter thingys from the trees...I get home...nothing, nada, dry as a bone...(it's a 4 minute drive to wallyworld). It's thundering outside...and it's sunnier than heck????? WEIRD..

ok, advice time...What the heck do I get my daughter for her 13th bday???? I'm clueless...she doesn't know what she wants either...HELP

Does she wear jewlery? Maybe a nice necklace or bracelet, something she can keep as she gets older and will remind her of the day she became a teenager!

Ok... when I turned 13 mom got my a charm of my sign (Aries), dad got me a rope tag bracelet instead of my name it says "lucky 13" and the date. And I also got my 1st pearl earring... all the girls in the family get a tag bracelet and a pearl earring to mark teen years in my family.... and when you turn 18 you get your 1st set of diamonds... pearl ~ you're old enough to take care of it and wear it to all your upcomings hops/party and diamond marks the day you tackle adult responsibilities... thats just my crazy family

I think when I turned 13 my mom bought a rose bush and planted it in the back yard - or maybe that was 16 ! They did buy me other things o course but that is what I remember !

Morning all wow I'm sleepy today!!!

Everything is set for Casey's party tonight...at the pool. Thank God her actual bday is Saturday...so I still have a few days to figure out what to buy her. .....She has a skating necklace with a pull up spiral gal on it, it's her favorite move ...she got that last year, and my mom bought her a bracelet to match. but I like the earring idea....I'm going to go looking tomorrow while they're at the VBS & the rink. I was also thinking of maybe a small coach purse? never too early to start that addicition......just the little one, maybe even a wristlet?

I'm so out of the loop here on the DIS, what's been happening? Any news for the Spet trip? anything new & exciting????

Wow, 13 huh? A ring might be nice. I have no clue about that kind of stuff. But if it were me, I would probably like a nice piece of jewlery. A Coach purse would be nice too. What is your spending limit though?

Hi gang,
I'm a dirty boy, but in a clean way. We had a trench rescue training drills today,basicly they take a fake dummy and throw the dummy in a ditch pour hundreds of pounds of dirt and mud over him and then we have to rescue him in a certain time. This was all day long, i'm sore, but had a blast at the FDNY training academy. Btw as members of the FDNY we have to go to 14 days of training every year,usally broken in to 2 days back to back every other month or so. This one was only 1 day long(today)I was off today except for this training drill and then tomorrow i'm working times square manhattan on over time for the morning. I came home from the academy and looked like i had been rolling in mud all day, even DS would not give me a hug or kiss untill i took a much needed shower.


On a side note, Dw won a nintendo Wii for free. It's a long story, but we picked it up on monday and i cannot keep myself away from this thing.It's great, i told her to enter into more disney world vacation sweepstakes, maybe she's the lucky one in the family, cause i sure as heck don't have any luck!! So whats doing all????

Ok so my question, any one have any info on this discount in terms of prices????????? Anyone at all?????? Please oh please let it be a great deal!!!! I need a vacation!!
