Sadly for the first time in over 6 years, i do not have a trip booked.Last year in 2004,we went in oct as well and even before i went on that trip i had febuary 2005 already booked.

ok - I SWEAR I got on here last night and posted a HUGE update and it's GONE????? UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH the board kept crashing on me...but I finally got the post to work...OR so I thought!

ok here goes again

First I am sicker than a dying dog....woke up Sunday morning with the nastiest stomach flu I have ever had in my life....we're talking both ends, a whole bottle of kaeopectate (however you spell that) won't fix! So far today I'm a little better I think...but I've had no coffee in 48 hours....so my head hurts now too.

rewind to my fantastic weekend before barfing....

Friday after the gym...my friend asked if I wanted to go to lunch for my bday...we decided to meet at Chili's....when I got there at noon, she had called 5 of my other friends and they were all there!!! It was really nice...& I realized that sitting at the table with me were my vp, sec & treasurer from the PTO....we really are all good friends. It was a great lunch. Then I went home picked up dd from school took her to the ice house, went back to other dd school, we had a Brownie meeting, and the girls were actually well behaved!

After I picked up Casey from the rink, we got home & I told dh - we didn't need to go out to dinner, let's just order a pizza, I had a great lunch with my friends, yes I know it's my birthday...but I was good, content and happy...so he orders a pizza (or so Ithought) the doorbell rang about 30 minutes later...I go to answer...it's a bunch of my friends AGAIN! I said what are you doing here...they answered "you're having a party" - Mike (dh) had set the whole thing up...we ended up having 25 people here, a lot of pizza...& guess what ? I drank 2 bottles of Rosa Regale and shared my bottle of Ice Wine!!! I was "very" happy!The last people didn't leave till 3am...so Saturday I was a bit useless.

I think I got more bday presents this year then I did when I was a kid! I got tons of Disney scrapbooking stuff!!! I was soooo happy!!! Starbucks cards, Hobby Lobby Cards & my parents gave me cash!!

Saturday was a pj lay around the house day...I still felt fine no flu ....we went to some friends house for spaghetti dinner & just hung out in sweats...relaxing night...

then at 5am I woke sunday morning with the worst stomach pain I've ever had

I did take the girls to our Princess On Ice show...which was fantastic! We had so much fun...they had never sat in the front row on the ice before...I only left to use the bathroom 4 times during the show No for me. The girls loved it! The only complaint I have is that girl they had playing Jasmine...looked just like Mulan! She was Asian....& you know Jasmine is a BIG deal here in our house!!! Casey even got to see her 2nd fav - Dopey! (he waved to her!) then we got home at about 2 & I went straight to bed!! & slept till 8 last night (which is when I typed my FIRST update!) Jenn - I looked for you everywhere!!! Didn't you say your seats were in section 102?????????

Today, I am totally resting...no cleaning, no gym...I'm going to read the book Jennifer sent me a while ago...my tummy is still churning and gurggling......

We got about 2 inches here yesterday in Chicago...just enough to make it slippery but not enough to play in...it is however REALLY COOOOOLLLLLLDDDD here! It was 3 degrees when I woke up!

thus another reason I'm staying in my jammies today...going to drive Gracie to schoolwith my coat & slippers on

We are currently at SSR, but I really am hoping we can go to BCV or BWV. I like that whole walking to Epcot thing.

tell me more about that??? Can you really walk to Epcot from BCV? Is it worth renting points to do so??? Epcot is our favorite park

i'm a fan, but i can't stand it when it's busy which is like ALL THE TIME!

LOVE ikea for some stuff.....little stuff...have never bought furniture there...only the smaller stuff...love them for glasses/kitchenware etc..

So I am putting it all on hold.

Jenn It's ok...when/if you're ready you'll know...& you know there's nothing wrong with having only one child....nothing wrong with being an only either (I'm one!) You mentioned a lot of the reasons we didn't go forward as well. I'm very content with my 2 girls...yes we've always wanted more kids...would love to have had 3 or 4....& after Patrick died, would love to have the chance to raise a boy...BUT like you...our girls are everything, we have college set up, we go on some great trips (day ones & vacations), Casey can skate 6 days a week, SO I at least think it's perfectly ok to say "I'm happy with my life - it's not what I thought it was going to be...but I like it"

Talk to us when you need to ok?

I was just wondering if you all are planning another POP trip for '07 and if so, what the dates are?
We are doing the second annual Ladies-only trip on Nov. 1-6, and we will all be at POP. Just thought it would be cool if the dates overlapped again this time. It'd be nice to meet even more DISers.

Hi there! I wish we were doing another trip together! It looks like this year at least we're all on different schedules....

although if free dining comes out again....I could be convinved.....& I bet so could some other Poppers! But we'd have to add at least 1 guy!!! he's pretty easy to get along with though!! hahahah

Chris, I looked for you after but didn't see you. Always, no matter how hard we try to get to something like that EARLY, we always get in our seats 5 min til the show. We were in 113 (?). Pretty good show. I noticed Jasmine right away too. The last show we saw was way better.

Chris, other than feeling sick, it sounds like you had a great weekend!!! I am on Plum Sykes next book The Debutante Divorcee. Through most of it, but it is not as good as that one. I liked In Her Shoes, but didn't like Goodnight Nobody. Next is Something Blue. And that's just January!!

So, (thinking back a few days), what's this 40% off booking coupon? Is is through the Disney Visa? I didn't see it.

And when do they announce free dining usually? Hurricane season really turns me off. Assuming we don't make any life changes, we will go the week after Thanksgiving. A PreK teacher who is a really good friend wants me to sub for the fall semester for her aide. I am not crazy about it, but hey, it's just a semester. Can't beat that. And we will run off to disney after Thanksgiving still. Hey, it's part of the deal.
