just got back from Walmart

I was in line for FORTY FIVE MINUTES!!


Why you ask?????

Well the lade in front of my had TWO CARTS of stuff and she had to pay in THREE DIFFERENT WAYS


First was CAsh, but b4 she let the cashier ring up her items, she had to have her price check EIGHT things!!! and of course she didn't want any of them!

don't they have do it yourself scanners?!?!? YUP!

NEXT came another belt of groceries and credit card. well the CC was declined and she had no more cash, so she tried another. declined. and finally she tried a debit card i'm assuming since she had to type in something and that was accepted. NEXT was the final cart of groceries and it was the biggest. These were to be paid with the WIC card. welllll needless to say she had an entire cart of items that could not be purchased with her card. AND SHE stood there and ARGUED that she deserved sugary cereals, passion fruit banana something or other juices and a bunch of other stuff they kept showing her the list and she kept arguing>!?

FINALLY she gave up on all but the cereals!! she just kept going on about how her kid won't eat anything else and on and on it went. Finally out of shear frustration i said:

I WILL PAY FOR THE DARN CEREAL!
and about 3 people in line behind me all chimed in that they too would if she would just GET ON WITH IT!

She left without ANY of the groceries!! she just left!!! so now there was a giant load of groceries on the belt and in her cart and she left! As she was leaving she said she would just go to another place where they let her do it, and they told her to go ahead.

That is sooo funny!!!

I regrettably cancelled school today. I hate having the pressure. So many of the parents told me they weren't coming today anyway, since schools were out and they didn't have sitters. The only ones I think the closing will affect are the school-age students. I was worried the storm would fizzle and I'd feel dumb, but as I look out my window and see the plow plowing my street like its a parking lot (back and forth) I thought it wasn't so bad. There will be complaints. If I can just hide out for a few days.

I took DD out in the snow last night for the first time. She didn't want to come in, but I was sooo cold!

oh dear, i think i may get arrested by one of those police men that moved in for the steak out!! When i went to get the mail, i kept smiling at the house they are in! hahah! they probably think i'm loony!

Okay i am a nosey neighbor...

PJ, you might be able to shed some light on this!


I was cleaning the playroom and had the blinds open. The play room is on the second floor and i saw about 5 cop cars and 3 unmarked Vans, but they just SCREAMED cop vans.

I live in a townhome/condo like community and it's pretty big. There is a unit across the ways a bit that they were all congregated by. BUT not in the driveway, just in the street. THEN they all start unloading BIG suitcases and briefcases and taking them into one of the units. ALL of the unloading was done by 'regular' people and the uniformed cops were just standing around talking to eachother. They are in and out of this unit constantly for the past hour. What is going on??? i'm a little creeped out.

Its funny you say that. I was royally (and still am...cuz they have school today, too) at my kids school yesterday for NOT closing. I dont have the luxury of driving my kids home everyday. I didnt and dont want Danny walking almost a mile down unshoveled sidewalks! I called him in sick yesterday and will have to leave work early, today.

I need to write them a nasty email about this.

Well last night I was abruptly thrown from pity party mode to

Supermommy barf cleaner upper extroidnaire mode!

Grace woke up sick 4 times last night...thank god that kid alwaysmakes it to the toliet! I love her!

Looks like she has the tummy flu bug that I had

no school today for her...which means she misses thevday party AND today was the 100th day of school She is so upset about it....even the promise of homemade chicken soup and movie afternoon snuggled with Mommy on the couch didn't make her feel better!!

oh well, I guess I'll be dis'ing a lot today

alright, she's Tiff something or other over here and she is the board that shall not be mentioneds QUENN Witch with a B over there. She has the most witching to do about anything. She threw a preschool tantrum after her team got elminated from the wapsadi or whatever thing. Can't stand her, but she's a loudmouth that always has to voice her opinion. She's in it for the attention, no matter what kind.

Well i woke up today to a WONDERFULLY sweet card :
and a gift card to Hobby Lobby I am super excited!!! HE called and said there was more!

(we said no presents!!!!!)

That's okay on the counter before he left i had the kids Valentines, my card to him, some chocolate and the Lego Star WArs PS2 game he was dying for

He also left the kids little gift baskets at the foot of their beds!!! I just gave the kids their presents too!!

I love today!

I got Steven the Disney Monopoly game he had been wanting and a video game he wanted. Last night we played the game and we had to teach my sister's BF how to play because he had never played before!

I am so jealous of your entire life!!!! I don't know how you do it all! Chicken soup, kiddie gym, presents, cards, my goodness, I have always been amazed at all you do... but now, gift baskets at the end of the beds... that takes the cake! You are perfect! How do you do it all??????

Another snow day. GF is freaking out b/c she booked her dis trip to leave the day after report card day, but with these snow days, now they are leaving on teacher institute day (she is a teacher).

So Jul is home today but DH went to work. Her class party is now tomorrow at the time when she was supposed to have her dentist appt so now I need to call and change that.

I gave Jul gifts but I don't think DH will give me anything. We didn't really discuss it. Some years I feel like getting something and some years I don't care.

DH did the gift baskets and truth be told, since i used to be a manager there, i think the employees of the Halmark by his work can take the credit! haha!
The gifts i gave the kids were unwrapped and pulled right out of the TARGET bag!!
