When Hurley found Desmond in the woods, Hurley said something like their friends are missing and Desond said that Locke will find them and then Hurley says that Locke is looking for Mr. Eko and then Desmond says that Locke said he was looking for their friends in his SPEECH. THE hurley says WHAT SPEECH? then Desond says ummm...never mind.

LATER on at the Beach Locke DOES do a speech and says he is going to look for their friends and Hurley realizes that Desmond might just be able to see into the future a bit.

I get why they are trying to offer healthier choices. And to be honest the veggies and fruit one would appeal to my son. But not everyday. Just as he would be bored with burgers and chicken strips everyday. I have a kid who loves steak and shrimp and salads and mashed potatoes. Fruit is nice for a snack and veggies with dip are great for after school but for entire meals? Nah. Unfortunately I think Disney is kind of between a rock and a hard spot. They get complaints for not having healthy options, they get complaints when there are too many healthy options. I don't see why they can't offer something from both sides. It is especially hard when adults get so many choices. I think the DP and the dining options in general need to be revisited.
I was thinking the other day about something. I upgraded Ryan to an adult ticket so he could have more options. But the portions were way too much for him. So what if instead of a blanket child or adult size they do it like Burger King does. Small, medium or large. And you pay according to the size of portion you want. OR they should let you pay for a dollar amount. KInd of like the values, mod, and deluxes. The menu is then split into 3 catagories. If you are on the A plan you can select from x,y,z and etc.
I thnk there are betetr options out there. I wonder how extensive their marketing research is? I would htink they would try these out at several locations to see how they went before they just changed all of the menus.

morning! i'm actually upset about the menu ;) upset it wasn't around when we were there :teeth: DD loves all this kind of stuff and it is EXACTLY what she eats at home. i'm all for it!! so it works for us ::yes::

But for people on the restaurant boards BOY!

i don't get all the hoopla! the entire year i was a member here, people would COMPLAIN about how unhealthy the kids menues were and BAM Disney changes it and people are still complaining about it :teeth: it's funny!!

See - I never complained about the 'fatty' menu options though. Made me: :teeth:

But - if I had booked, months in advance, chose the DDP based on menu's I had looked at then WHAM they just change it on me, and I'd be penalized to cancel it, I'd be ticked too. Seriously ticked.

I can see that point of view totally.

I love the menu for the kids ::yes:: For the next trip i think we are just going to put Autumn down as a kid even though she is still free and keep her ticket for future use. It's just easier that way. we bought so many kids meals this trip. It is great that they share though, so one plan will be more than enough food for them :teeth:

I see there are LOST fans out there. YAY! Is this season more "out there" to you all? I love it, dont' get me wrong, but it seems very trippy.
I wonder if everything that is happening to them on the island is a direct result of how they led their lives before the plane crashed? Like Hurley said, de-ja-vu. (sp?) And karma! Hmm... interesting.
And why did nobody else on the beach notice Desmond standing in a 5x tie dye shirt throwing rocks?
It's all very odd.

Thats smart thinking!

Just wondering if anyone knows a site to a disney bakery that would deliver to the resorts?

None of them will deliver to the resorts Ash, you have to pick them up. usually the GF is the only one that even bakes and makes special things for pick up. OR they will be delivered to a GF restaurant. We had an anniversary cake made up (real small for 2!!). it was 12$ and we picked it up at the GF ::yes::

Hello everyone! I ran to the DS today and picked up a few beanies. I got the sorcerer mickey one for maybe $3. I thought they would make for some fun as it gets closer to our April trip. Also, I ran to ToysRUs and got the MK game, a plastic Ariel chair and an Ariel lap tray. Yes, we are kind of disney obsessed in our house!
Our 10th anniversary is about a month away and it hit me that 10 is a pretty big milestone. I called to work up the numbers for a "minnie" WDW trip (sorry DMM- I stole your vacay name!!) at the end of November. The CM gave me a great rate but I don't think DH will go for it. :sad2: I just don't want this anniversary to pass with little hoopla. I think 10 is a biggie.

10 is a big deal! Maybe your hubby will go for it? Maybe if you ask while wearing something "for his eyes only" and a bottle of wine... maybe he will be more willing to say yes?! ;) :rotfl:

I guess I could try that, but I know he would be 'happy' about it and then later still be like "no". All that effort for nothing :rotfl: .

My kids are the same way. They were getting bored of chicken fingers, mac and cheese and burgers that are on all the kids meals there this visit. When we ate at Sci-Fi my daughter got that vegies and fruit dip meal and she didn't eat anything but carrots and celery. The chicken salad was awful. tasted like shredded cardboard w/lt mayo. Anyhow eating there a whole week on just a handful of choices it really going to a struggle for us on next trip. My kids both loved it when we went to le cellier and they could get a steak. I hope they don't change adult menus to much.

What we like to do, ESP. on this dining plan, was with DD we would order her a kids meal and her and DS would split it. BUT with so much food fo rDH and I at some places that were not buffet we would give them off of our plate :teeth: it worked out GREAT so if she wanted something we had, we gave. I NEVER EVER eat my share of anything, so i'm a great sharer :teeth:

Ash-->
You have to call and tell them what you want and for when you can pick it up and you
pay with a CC and then you are all set until pick up :teeth:

CathrynRose--I too love the new meals. They are exactly what DD eats now. She loves green peppers and carrots in ranch dressing (her favorite food besides cheese.).
