Good morning, all!
I just read through all the posts since I left the office yesterday. I'm going to try to make some intelligent comments!
Someone, I think it might have been CDooBee said :
As for that "female situation", even though I often forget it, you just reminded me that there definitely IS an advantage to getting older!! Done with that stuff!!!
Don't want to rub it in too much, but me too! And, that gives me the right to be "old and crotchety" as Jim says. Which in turn means that yes, I will be wearing my swimsuit at the pool. So will he, along with his lovely blue "boot" for his still-healing foot. The physical therapist suggested that swimming might be good for him!
I'm not addicted to much on TV, except maybe ER and Boston Legal and Law and Order.

However, when I got home last night I discovered that my 13 year old TV has decided to stop working. I'll probably just wait a few weeks and get a new one when I move into my new house!
As for languages, let's see--I grew up in Jersey City, so I speak fluent "North Jersey", so I should be able to communicate fairly well with Mr. FDNY. I also understand a bit of Spanish, Italian and French (had to take four years of Latin in high school, so I'm pretty good with that), and can read French and Spanish with some accuracy. I am learning Portuguese, because there are a lot of Portuguese and Brazilian immigrants here in town. We just hired a new secretary (we know about my former secretary!) who speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese, so I'm learning from listening to her translations.
Scrappinmom and Tia--I'll still be here too. We don't leave until Friday afternoon for the hotel at the airport. I will have work to do once I get to the hotel, so I'll still be on line! I'll be around for a little while tonight, too. I have to take Shannan (the granddaughter) to soccer practice, and then she's going back home for the night, and coming again tomorrow night.
I spent most of last night reformatting my new notebook computer. My DDIL dropped it Sunday, and it wouldn't boot up anymore. I thought that the hard drive had come loose, but the reformat fixed everything. I'm so glad that I believe in making regular backups! That's my art computer, and it could have been a disaster, but I had just backed up everything the night before. When I travel, I take my older computer because it's smaller and lighter.
We are not decorating our window at Pop, but I will have a LGMH with my screen name on it stuck in the window somewhere!
Wishing a safe trip to all you lucky folks who are on their way today...see you when I get there!
