Hi all -
Well the Denver Blizzard of 2006 has hit. We are stuck at home it looks like for the next few days. Going to play a family game later and sip hot chocolate.
Everything is closed including all city, government, malls, airport, highways...it's all kinda freaky. I am freaking out though because I had 4 packages that were to be delivered via UPS and DHL and now I am hearing on the news they are running behind !! They should have arrived on Friday and no delivery on Saturday. Crap !! Maybe because of the circumstances they will deliver on Saturday just this once !!

yoga (a very relaxing hour! not too challenging)
Starbucks
finished wrapping (& reclaimed my scrap room!)
went to lunch with a great friend
got 2 packages in the mail from friends
went to Ulta3 & splurged on $100 worth of girly stuff...new brush, makeup, they don't carry JC - I swear CR I need that stuff now....I'll wait & use some of the xmas money my parents will probably give me.

Tonight the girls are at a basketball game with dh...I'm gonna clean out my closet and have some decaf coffee.

I have mixed feelings about snow. I LOVE it because I love how pretty it looks, and how fun it is to play in and then drink hot chocolate. I HATE it because I have to make the decision to cancel school.

cDoobee - NOPE i'm glad you posted!!!!

I'm so sorry about your dd. The holidays take on such a different meaning after you lose someone you love. It's my belief that a parent should never have to bury their child - baby, teen or adult - there's something just not right about that. I hope that you have many years of happy memories to smile and look back on with your dd.

let's see.....most of my dh's family is vegan so let me see what they're made....bruchetta (not sure if i spelled that right), mango salsa, do you eat cheese? there's a pine nut cheese thingy my mil always makes, cheese puffs, potato skins....I basically go to Sams club and buy whatever they're sampling that day!!! hahah

Hi all.
Ok, I swear I have not been ignoring anyone. My in-laws are in the office so I get limited PC time. Not to mention my FIL is a PC game junkie so... it's a battle to see who can get there first! Things are going good. Just really busy. I think I pretty much have everything done as far as shopping goes. A few small things to pick up for Terry and that's about it. Oh, and one more thing for Ry, but it's an online thing, so I can order that at any time and print it off. We are going to Tucson tomorrow to shop and go look at Christmas lights. Then the in-laws are taking Ry back home and Terry and I get to go out! OH YEAH! Life is generally good and I am beyond thrilled to have my hubby around. Even just going to Target to browse is fun. It's those little things I believe we take for granted. Well, at least I know I did before this deployment. Anyway, I miss being able to chat with you all. It will be more for sure in January. Cuz then I will be way sad. Ok, gotta stop thinking about it before I get all sad and stuff.

You have no idea how i wish it all came to nyc!! I am one of the few that love the snow and even enjoy working in the snow. Even if i'm off on a major snow storm/blizzard i go into the fire house to work. I cannot wait until we get some snow here and i hope its huge amounts!!

Tia - Well I had insured the box for $100....& usps says it was delivered...so someone is enjoying your wine! dang it! Luckily the liquor store here just started carrying it...so I'm going to go buy another bottle today & ship it UPS. Then I'll deal with the po & getting my money back. I hope you still get it in time for NYEve. I bet your postman is loopy from drinking the bottle!!!

Well, ahhhh....we'll be at DAK on the 29th, too. We had that planned loooong before this was announced, though. Do you have times -- we'll be there in the morning, and planning to leave before noon...no promises, but maybe I could get an autograph or something......

My staff got me a gift card! Actually it was pretty funny...they got me a $50 gift card and there were 2 loose dollars in it as well. I was totally shocked! Its to a local restaurant.
