It’s tough when someone gets to that age. What might be routine and easily healed in a younger person can be much more dangerous. I have been watching the updates and hope his health improves.

I was taught to celebrate one's life after death and to welcome one's death following a good life because of the belief of being WITH THE HEAVENLY FATHER.

I am glad I asked and misunderstood, sometimes things written land wrong.

There is a lot of hate directed at Christians lately and Catholics in particular, suppose I have grown more sensitive than I used to be - my apologies for being sharp.

Sadly I don't think he will recover due to his long term health issues and his age. He was a breath of fresh air for the papacy, and I think the next Pope will be more conservative.

I suspect that is what all religions have as a target, don't they? All of them are promoting and encouraging that as a specific end goal. Otherwise one has wasted a life that could have been filled with fun and excitement.

I've seen very little "virtue and morals" for quite a few years now. I was born and raised Catholic. My family included, one Franciscan Monk, Two Nuns, One Brother of Christian Instruction and every Saturday Evening up to 4 or 5 Priests congregated at my Grandparents house. I was immersed, I am no longer a practicing Catholic because I saw first hand the hypocrisy in that and my nine years in parochial schools. That doesn't mean that I do not try my best to know right from wrong and live a decent life. In today's world all I seem to see is greed and corruption.

About 9 years ago I was part of about a 5000 person mobile drive by audience with the Pope in his elaborate golf cart at the Vatican. I only wish the best for Pope Frances. He seems like an honorable man with common sense and real morality.
