What would your recommendation be on what area to request at Pop for a married couple with kids?

It really depends on your priorities. If you're pool goers then maybe book a pool view room or a standard that's close to one of the pools! If you have tiny tots, maybe ask for something close to the buses/food court. Or something facing the lake and in one of the outlying buildings, if you're coming back for daytime naps. Really there are no bad rooms at Pop that I've seen. They all have different attributes, you just have to elaborate on what you're looking for!

oops meant to write we don't have any kids! I'd prefer nothing by the pools.
If you don't mind walking a bit further, I would recommend where we stayed last year. We requested 50s, top floor, facing the lake. At the end of the building you could see distant fireworks! If you don't have kids and don't care about a pool, then request anything facing the lake. Those are the quiet ones!

I agree...we stayed in 50's with a lake view last June and it was very quiet. Loved our stay at the POP.
