Pop Warner

I am going to WDW for the first time Dec 7th-12th. I am REALLY excited and I've been wanting to go for years. I've been lurking on the boards and I keep hearing about how that's the week of the Pop Warner Superbowl and it's going to be awful and crowded etc etc. Has anyone ever been this week and is it really that bad?? Now I'm just nervous about how my first trip will be.

From what I have heard, the biggest impact would be if there was a large group at your resort. They can be loud and crowd the food court. As far as the parks go, I don't think they cause a huge increase because they spend a lot of time at the sports complex. You may run into a group of cheering girls at some point, but they won't have a huge impact on crowds.

Thanks for the response! That makes me feel a lot better. I've read different things about whether or not they'll be at Pop Century (that's where we're staying). Just knowing that it doesn't really affect the crowds helps me feel at ease.

I am going the week of 12/5-12/12 and am worried about Pop Warner but from ALMOST everyone I've talked to they say it's not too bad unless you are in the same resort...I can't remember which two they are staying at....that's what I'd find out.
