Pop vs Swan

Make sure to add in the resort fee and parking fee + tax per night. The boats to the parks are not working in this area so you will be walking. Not all the restaurants and activities are open or occurring.

I know you've decided on Swan and just wanted to add I think it's a great decision. Even if it's more than Pop it will still be a great decision. Don't forget when you are looking at prices, you said you were driving and you would have to add parking into Pop as well. For about the past five years we have been staying at Swan/Dolphin ( just get whichever one is less) with split stays. The first night or two we stay at a value or moderate (again price driven as to which ones we stay at). We drive down from Georgia so get there around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. It never made sense to me to spend the deluxe rates for that first night since we always go straight to a park and only sleep in the room that night. If I can't get the best rate I'd want at Swan/Dolphin I'll do the second night at a less resort as well. That way MK and AK are usually knocked out those first two days and since you have to ride a bus to both why not stay at the cheaper resort.

I forgot to update. I called the Swan to inquire about adding a day to the front end of our vacation. I was expecting the price to increase and the CM that I spoke with told me, "yeah, it's going to change" I asked how much damage it was and he said, "It's actually going down" YAY! We added another night for LESS than what we would've paid for a room at POP even after the parking and resort fees! The entire reservation also changed to the lower rate when I rebooked. If you need to change anything, call the hotel directly as they seem to be able to work with you more.

I know you said you’re staying put but I just wanted to add for anyone else reading this that you also can’t charge to your room using magicbands when you stay at Swan/Dolphin. That coupled with no Magical Express rules it out for us. Have a great Birthday trip!

I have a question about this. If I link a credit card to our Magic Bands, can we still charge purchases on them?
Staying at the Dolphin in 3 weeks, and I know they’re essentially the same. Thanks!

No. I asked this recently. Magic Bands will only have park entrance on them. You'll have to use a credit/debit card for purchases like in the old days HAHA!
