Which is better? Going in May probably with a 3 year old and a one year old. Pros and Cons? Never been in either one. Pop or Movies?:confused3

I would suggest the movies are better than pop . I do not have idea about your opinion about it . You also comment about it please .

I've been to both and I think both are great for small children. Though, if your little ones are into Toy Story, you may want to stay at Movies for the larger than life Woody and Buzz icons.

:) I have stayed in both. I prefer Movies, although we are staying at Pop next month(ds asked for it). I would suggest Movies, just because you have little kids and they would really enjoy some of the icons that are geared towards the movie characters they would recognize.

If you do decide on Pop, it's also great. I don't think you'll be disappointed either way. Have a great trip! :wizard:

I switched from Movies to POP for our trip coming up. My reason, little kids (5 and 8) would want to stay in the Toy Story, Dalmatians or to a lesser extent Fantasia. These are the premium buildings and it is a cost that I don't feel we need. So if you don't want to pay the premium add on, you get put into Herbie or the Mighty Ducks buildings.

Those 2 buildings (themes) do nothing for me, or my kids. Have not seen either movie. I don't really want to answer the question... "Why can't we stay in the Toy Story or Datamations buildings" Their first moments on park property being disappointment. I do realize that the rest of the trip will offset that disappointment, but it is such an easy issue to side step. Pop is all big larger than life. Very similar to Movies, but the kids will be impressed by anything they see, with no real attachment to any of it, and none of it being better or worse than the others.

We stayed in a resort (I'm a teen and this was years ago, so I can't recall which one), and we didn't like it, ever since we've stayed at Pop Century the past few visits. We personally love Pop, and would definatly stay there again.

We stayed at POP during Spring Break of 2010 and loved it!!! My kids were 4 and 7 at the time and just liked being at a themed hotel. Plus, POP has its own bus without stopping for pickups at other hotels. I believe the other 3 Value resorts share a bus route. May not be a big deal in May though.

The best reason to stay at pop! At movies you have to share with sports and music. Pop has the one bus all to itself. Of course if they ever open up the 0's to the 40's that will change, but right now you are alone. It's all the same stuff at those four, just different decorations. My kid liked the goofy splash zone when she was younger at pop. Don't know if they have the same at movies (a splash pad for non swimmers).
Stayed at Coronado last year. It has four bus stops around the hotel, but it didn't seem crowded. A lot less of those darn motorized wheelchair grannies too... At pop every bus had an electric granny trying to get on and off. Driving would have been faster.

It just depends what your preferences are. I've stayed at the Movies resort, and although the wait for the bus was MUCH longer (since you have to share with the other all star resorts) I think the theming and the larger than life statues scattered on the grounds would have your children in awe! I've had a friend stay at Pop and she really loved it, so it really just depends. The All star resorts will host school bands and sports teams, so it can get really crowded and loud.
For kids, I would definitely say go with the Movies, but if its the adults choosing, go with Pop.
