I need reassurance or help! I have us staying at pop from 06/06-06/13. Now I am wondering if I should have booked a moderate. Last year we stayed at CBR and really liked it. We are not in our room much so the size of the room is not a huge issue . However we will have an 18,17,38 and 11 year old in our room. Will this be to crowed at pop? Is Pop really crowed and you feel like your in a sardine can? Are the pools really crowded? Does checkin take 4 ever or is it pretty fast? My girls would really like to have a water slide but I am not to concerned if we can't as we will only be at the pool at most 3-4 hours our entire stay. I tried to book POFQ or CBR at Ap rate for standard room but all sold right now. Please let me know your take on POP. Just really afraid about staying at value . Not because it is a value resort but rather that it will really seem to be extremely crowded and I will know it. At CBR it was booked full but never felt like I could not breathe. Please let me know your take on all this

Pop Century was really nice, but it may be crowded with the 4 of you. We booked a king room, which had plenty of space for the two of us, but if we had more people we'd be stepping over each other.

Also, the walls seem to be very thin at Pop Century. We could hear every word of a conversation that took place in the next room. The people were not talking loudly at all, but we could hear every word clearly.

If CBR was available, I think I'd switch to that resort. The rooms are much larger & nicer, the bathroom areas have double sinks, and each village has its own quiet pool. In Pop Century, there were only three quiet pools (I think). Also, the main pool at Pop Century was super crowded with kids, especially very young kids. Lounge chairs were hard to come by.

Believe me, Pop Century was a very pleasant experience for us, but if I were you, I think I'd go with CBR instead.

We have stayed at CBR twice and the All-Stars twice, and we prefer the All-Stars (Music and Movies). Haven't been to Pop yet.

The room size was just fine for 4, we had 2 adults and 2 teens, 1 was a girl who took forever getting ready. We had plenty of room to move around.

We never had a problem with the pools or crowds, and our last trip to Movies was in late June.

We would stay there again in a minute.

I just got back from POP Sunday. We were there for 10 days during one of the most busy times of the year.

I didn't think the rooms were that small. The pool was never crowded. We only ran into crowds in the foodcourt during breakfast when we got a late start. During dinner times a few of the lines were much longer than others. The burger, chicken finger line always seemed to be longer than the past, pizza line.

I checked in about 2:00 on April 2. It took awhile for them to get to me, but once they did, I understood the wait. They took their time checking you in. They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They didn't rush, they took their time and worked with each quest. On the fourth I checked my sister's family and her SIL in. I had the keys for those two rooms quicker than I had the keys for my room, because I didn't have as many questions that time.

POP bus service was great. We only had one long wait, that was leaving Epcot Saturday afternoon. We had to stand a few times, but that was because we didn't want to wait for the next bus.

We never had a problem with noise. My sister's family was in the room next to us. She has a 5 year old daughter and a 6 year old son, we never heard a sound out of them when they were in the room.

My view is its simply a matter of your choice of value and cost. The moderate will be nicer in many ways. But if you spend little or no time there then its not worth it. If you plan on spending lots of time at the pool, resort or room then it will be worth it. only you can answer that question.

We stayed at POP from 3/18-21. I thought it was very nice. I hadn't stayed at a value in about 7 years,so even tho POP is brand new,,i was nervous. It was very nice. Yes the room is small,,but i don't think that much smaller than the rooms at a Mod. We were on the 4th floor,,and had connecting rooms. If i was standing near the connecting door,i could hear every word my nephew was saying if he seemed to also be standing near their door. Other than that,,i didn't hear toilets flushing and conversations, etc. I heard noisy people walking by one time. (Probably a pro of being on the 4th floor,,rather than the first.) We went to the pool each evening,,and in the morning on Sunday, and it was NOT crowded. Not even 1/2 full.I didn't feel chlostrophobic at all. The bus transportation was wonderful,,never waited more than 3 minutes for a bus,,and the food court was very nice w/a great food selection. POP doesn't share bus transport w/any other hotel,,so its zip! you're at the park. We have reservations at POR for Memorial Day,,and i'm really thinking about switching back to POP to save a few $. My kids loved it there. Our check in took maybe 10 minutes,,maybe i waited 5 minutes. The only drawback i see is no cofeemakers in the rooms,,and no slide at the pool. Check out the POP thread, too, for more info.
