Hi all

We have booked Pop for our stay in September and just have a few questions.

1. Is there a laundry service where you can drop laundry off and pay to have it done then pick it up later? I know there is a self service laundry there but just wondering if we can save some time on this necessity. We will be there 9 nights so we will definitely need to do a load.

2. We have booked two rooms and requested connecting. Are there connecting rooms in each building? We have requested 80s.

3. We have also booked a preferred room but I have read that some standard rooms are lake view. I don't really mind what we look at but would prefer not to overlook the car park.

4. Are there lifts or just stairs?

5. Can you use AoA pool? I read that you can't but recently watched a Youtube clip where that person said you could so just want to clarify.

6. If you eat a counter service meal on site, can you ask for a bottle of water or something for your drink and use your refillable mug to get a drink to have with your meal?

7. Is there a shuttle to the Disney Car Centre to pick up rental car or would we have to get a taxi?

I have not heard of it if there is.

2. We have booked two rooms and requested connecting. Are there connecting rooms in each building? We have requested 80s.

There are connecting rooms in each building on every floor and wing. About 1/2 the rooms connect it seems.

3. We have also booked a preferred room but I have read that some standard rooms are lake view. I don't really mind what we look at but would prefer not to overlook the car park.

You can see a the areas that are preferred here. There are none in the 80s.lake view rooms are not preferred either.


4. Are there lifts or just stairs?
There are elevators yes

5. Can you use AoA pool? I read that you can't but recently watched a Youtube clip where that person said you could so just want to clarify.
No you can not use AoA pools, there is a look of wrong info online.

6. If you eat a counter service meal on site, can you ask for a bottle of water or something for your drink and use your refillable mug to get a drink to have with your meal?

Yes you can choose single serve bottled drinks, including alcohol if you are 21+

7. Is there a shuttle to the Disney Car Centre to pick up rental car or would we have to get a taxi?

Yes there is pickup, I believe you set it up by calling? We planned to do this but went a different route so never tried it myself.

The value resorts might not have a laundry service (I know the DVC resorts, Deluxe and maybe the Moderates do though). But it is pretty expensive. Here's what I found out a few years ago. If the price is changed it is probably higher now.

1. I have not checked directly with POP but the website implies no hotel is excluded ...
Dry Cleaning and Valet Laundry Service
Walt Disney World Resort hotels also offer dry cleaning and valet laundry services. Select "Housekeeping" on your in-room phone to schedule a pick-up. Laundry bags and price lists are located in your Guest Room closet. If you are a Guest staying at Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, Disney's Old Key West Resort or Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, please drop off your dry cleaning or laundry with Bell Services prior to 9:00 AM.

Services are charged to your room and are payable at the Front Desk upon checkout. If you've elected to put a credit card on file for room charges, you will receive an itemized bill on the morning of your departure. If you have questions about your bill, you can visit the Front Desk; otherwise, your card will be charged automatically.

2. Connecting rooms are not guaranteed, only a request. Many report no issues getting, many report issues. Just so you know.

3. So you have 3 rooms booked? You want 2 in 80's connecting and 1 Preferred? So you understand Standard and Preferred have nothing to do with "view" they are all about location to the main hub. There are parking views in both categories.

4. In center of buildings, behind giant icons. I heard some folks don't think there are so maybe they are hard to find.

5. NO. They are not sister resorts. You may visit to (great photo ops) the grounds, eat at the food court, use the buses but you may not swim in the pools.

6. Yes. We liked to grab a bottle of OJ and take to room since we eat a light breakfast in the room. But now that we can get beer, that would likely be our choice.
