POP past guests please advise

Where should we request to be assigned in POP to have the best views for fireworks? And do you call POP directly to make the request, or just call the WDW reservations number? Thanks so much!

We were in the 50's section, bldg. B, top floor, overlooking the lake. If we walked out onto the breezeway & looked to the right toward the parking lot, we could see Illuminations every night. It was a nice, quiet, pretty location. We faxed in our request about 4 days prior to our arrival.
