I am still in my "I'm considering going phase" But anyways I was thinking of staying at a value resort this time. The one thing I don't want is to be surrounded by groups of screaming cheerleaders or things along those lines. When is the best time to go in order to avoid that? I was thinking of going in may and not anything past Mid June-August since I can't keep my energy up when its hot. I *Must* go during the flower & Garden time since thats my #1 favorite thing to visit. I don't want to go when its super crowded either. What building would you request inorder to be within a 5-6 minute walk of the buses AND the food court area. Also does pop(or any of the value resorts you like) have a good amount of parking? We have a compact sized hatchback and like parking Far far far away from other cars since we've had a few incidents where our car had been dented or scratched. I don't care if I drag my luggage a mile as long as the car is safe. Are the spots close together at pop century?

OR

Should I stay at port orleans Riverside like the last two visits? I would be paying $500 or so extra and I just don't know if I want to spend that much. Plus maybe If I stayed at pop we could use the $500 to almost cover plane tickets and not have to worry about the car. Is riverside quiet compared to pop? Honestly whats the real difference? I know the pop rooms are on the small side but thats pretty much all I know. the only other thing is that PO has a hot tub. But I only got to use the riverside hot tub once since I swear The same family and their 6 kids where hogging it everytime we went. And the parents would just sit there watching them actually jump into it(Very very dangerous and the children appeared to all be ages 2-10. With the baby having those floatation arms being pushed into the pool by an older sister.) I honestly didn't think it was even safe to allow such young children in a hot tub? Is it?

Sorry I've got so many questions but I just don't know which resort to stay at if I go?:dance3:

If it were me, I'd stay at POP and request the 50,s building facing Epcot. Its quiet there, not to far from the main building and pool. You will also see some fireworks at night too!!! We could see Epcot, the top of Tower of Terror too. POR is much quieter IMO, but I'd rather have the 500 bucks to spend elsewhere;)

Helpful post!! Thanks....We are hoping to go in Oct and stay at POP this time. The 50's building sounds great...If you don't mind me asking how did you get the free dining? Is it because of the time you are going? Thanks so much annie1995.....

How far is the 50's bldg from everything else? We are going in April and I can't decide what to request!!

All of the buildings at POP are within a five minute walk from the buses/main area, so you would definately have a 'close' location there. However, that resort can get quite noisy...especially the pool area during the warmer months, which is when you are going...
The noise level we've experienced at POP is definately a negative for us.

4 stays at POP, 3 at POR. Noise level pretty much the same. I don't get rooms near the pools so that's one reason the noise is okay.
I've stayed in 50's, 80's and 60's. The rooms at 50's/80's were very close to the parking lots..on either end of the resort. 60's was a hike to a parking lot.
I have never had more than a 5-6 mins walk to the food court/bus stop from any of my rooms and some of them have been on the hindside of the resort.
POR I have stayed in Magnolia Terrace, AB (bldgs 35 and 14). I prefer AB. The mansions are nice but I just prefer the lushness of AB. No elevators in that section though..only two levels.
I have been at All Star Music with the cheerleaders. They were not an issue. Yes, they could get a bit on the rowdy side and I didn't like being on a bus with them, but that's about it. You put any group of 15+ y/o girls together and it's going to be rowdy. Man, just three together is bad enough!!
I have been to WDW during Pop Warner days and it just hasn't been all that awful. Perhaps I just lucked out.

Oh wow - I just got back from POP and stayed at POR last trip. Without a second's hesitation I vote for POR. It's just for the minimal difference in price, you get a TON more for your money at POR. It's almost like staying deluxe. :thumbsup2
