Just been looking on VH site for August 2008 and....it is cheaper for our party to stay at Beach Resort than Pop Century!! Added to that, we get Disney Dining free at Beach Resort. What do you all think....Pop or Beach?

i love pop, the theming is great :thumbsup2

the free dining might tempt me to CB....whats the price difference as that then determines how much you wil be "paying" for free dining

i would go with CB then :thumbsup2 i would not pay for the dining plan now but i can't disagree with free food :)

let us know what you decide ?

CBR would be my choice, stayed there before, the themeing is good each area has its own pool and beach and the transportation to the parks spot on.

I have not stayed in either but if you want the ddp I would stay at CBR. Bearing in mind that the dining plan is only going to cost you the tip price I think it would be a better deal, but then if you were not planning on always eating on site maybe it is not for you.

If it was me I would stay at CBR

I don't know if it makes a difference to your decision but the main CB beach pool is closed for refurbishment from January to mid September.

Thanks for the info Babyboo. On further inspection of the VH website, I found these deals available.....
14 Nights departing 12th August 2008 from Manchester, 3 Adults and ! child (9)

Pop £4224.40
CBR £4216.70 including DDP
Coronado £4226.70 including DDP

These sound like GREAT value deals for the Moderate resorts to me, what does everyone think?

As we are WDW virgins all advice would be gladly received!!!

We have stayed at both(just back from POP last week) and we are now weighing up which to pick for our 09 hol.

we are leaning towards CBR at the moment because the food court at POP was very, very busy.we missed breakfast a few days because it was so bad.they have more seating than CBR(also more guests) but still only 4 counters.so the lines for food and to pay where a nightmare.
my DS is 7 so he loved the theme at POP but we think maybe when he is 9 he will not be so fussed.he also loved the pool at CBR the last time so that would be good.the lay out is also nice with the lake and beach area.

the transport to and from both was pretty much the same.plenty buses even at night.

this is just my opinion remember.
which ever you pick you will have a great time im sure.

Only stayed at ASM, would not stay at a value resort again.
Would maybe try a Moderate if price was right.
This year it cost us just over £2,200 for 25 nights in August for 3 adults. then another £500 for full size car with platinum cover. Virgin flights with Miles and Money staying at Courtyard by Marriott LBV. Onsite with VH was about double the cost, not worth it for us but it is for others.
