If you had to choose a regular room at either POP Century or Art of Animation, which would you choose? Is it worth paying $100 more to stay at AoA? Thanks!

I chose Pop over AoA for our trip in a few days but only for free dining. I've had second thoughts about it the whole time. But only because I showed my son pictures of both and he only seemed to like AoA. I don't think paying a little more for AoA is a big deal unless free dining was involved. There's no way I was going to pay more and get less

Not worth it to us. I would save the $$ and stay at POP. POP also has the bonus of being a MB testing resort. You can always walk over and tour AoA and stay next time if you like it that much.

Well, we've stayed at both. Stayed at POP in 09' & we had a split stay at AOA/POP last Sept. So, here's our experiences: in 09' we LOVED POP! Last year we really enjoyed both but, the LMRs are a bit far for your morning cup of Joe! The food court at AOA is superior to POP's. Theming at AOA is so cool especially, the CARS section! At POP you can reserve a preferred room & be soooo close to everything! One last thing the bussing seemed to go a bit more smoothly at POP than AOA. That was my two cents! Take it or leave it!:)

I didn't know about the magic bands at the time of booking, but I'm so glad I chose POP. The bands and FP+ have made planning our trip so much easier and fun! I like the theming of all the values but I think I'll wait on AoA until they start offering free dining.

Actually AoA is a testing resort - we are going next month and I already made our FP+ and we got our MB a few days ago :thumbsup2

We love Pop and if it saves money I would pick it over AoA. But this trip we are traveling with extended family. We decided to get there early so we are doing a split stay - AoA for 3 nights and then move to POR. Pop is awesome and we would not hesitate stying there but we have never stayed at AoA and want to try it.

Disney usually releases discounts for Pop but not for the regular rooms at AoA. What I did was go through Travelocity, they had a 15% off resorts (same discount Disney has for Pop). Plus I got money back through Ebates :thumbsup2

We'll see how I feel once we actually stay at AoA next month ;) but I know that we'll always have Pop as a favorite :thumbsup2

By a regular room I assume you mean the Little Mermaid rooms at AoA as compared to Pop Century rooms.

I would save the money and choose Pop Century. You spend less and you have a greater choice of room location on the resort property. With Little Mermaid you're limited to that section, which is the farthest away from buses and food court.
