we are going to Disney in April. Trying to decide btween as sports or pop.any suggestions???? also if you don't get preferred is it a long walk?
Thanks!!!!:cool1:

We've stayed in both, and the Pop is much newer. We stayed in Sports when it first opened around 13 ? years ago. I like Pop much more and have been there 3 times.

Pop without a doubt. I haven't stayed at AS Sports but I've stayed at AS Movies and didn't care for it at all.
As a PP said, Pop is relatively new and feels that way. The theming is amazing as well.

Pop Century DEFINITELY!!!

Newer and in my opinion nicer.

I would request a preferred room, the walk can be forever when you are tired after a loooong day.

All Sports is currently under refurb, all rooms are being re-done and should be fully completed by mid-February.

Never been to Sports before, but that's our choice for our trip in April. I read mixed reviews on this resort, so I'm just taking them all with a pinch of salt and I'll create my own opinion of it once I arrive :)

I vote for All Star Sports. Brand new rooms vs. POP rooms that people have been reporting are getting worn in spots. POP opened in December 2003, so the rooms have endured a lot of wear and tear.
Just my opinion!

I would say POP. I enjoyed the resort when we stayed there last month. The theming is more fun for me, personally (unless there was a dance section of AS Sports). Even though the rooms are being redone there, I would still chose to stay at Pop at this point.

Also, the Pop has the AWESOME tye-dyed cheesecake which is a can't be missed!!!! :)

POP! We just stayed there and loved it! The rooms were clean, the food was good, and my little brother bought all kinds of good things in the giftshop.

I have stayed at both...loved both...BUT, I vote for Pop if for no other reason than you will not have to share a bus with other resorts. Now if you never plan to use the buses then it is up in the air. Pop does have frozen coke on the soda island...does that help...and they have tye dyed cheesecake! lol...You know those important things. The pools are all nice and Pop has a very nice lake...and the signs around it are a blast to read. I guess Pop has my vote either way. We were just there in March 2007...had no complaints!
