A friend of mine on MySpace, Aisling's son for those who know her, said to understand the ending of the Soprano's you have to remember what was said at the end of the previous episode....and I quote...

Final scene from last weeks' episode, Tony (on a mattress in a safe house clutching a machine gun) has a flashback of a conversation with Bobby, when he says

"You probably dont hear it when it happens."

explaining the black, silent screen at the end of the last episode.. think about it..
