Very funny. love the squirrel. I do have a bit of that clueless gene in me, but as a partying teenager, was happy my Dad had it as well. You probably would have fit in that space capsule. You should have tried it.

100_1134.jpg

This is a make believe Space Helmut, where you hear real recordings from Space Missions. They only have 2 of these in the place. This was also a 15 minute wait. They do not make them in adult size. And if you are a germophobic…these will cause you to pass out from fright.

Did you ever see the antihistamine commercial with Wally Schirra? He says something like, "Do you know what it's like to sneeze in one of these things?" and holds up a helmet like that one. Blecch! You just reminded me. (They took the commercial off the air pretty quickly, but DH saw it too, so I know I didn't dream it).

I loved the suicidal squirrel. I hear those NASA astronauts wear adult diapers (as evidenced in the astronaut love triangle story). Maybe you and James should have borrowed some.

Congrats on the 10000 post!

Great Update DisUnc!!!!

I think we have suicidal squirrels by me....they love the roads at 2am!!! :lmao:

Congrats on hitting 10,000!!!

so, do you think you will get the next installment done before you hit 20,000 posts???? :teeth:

WHo expected another installment this quickly:confused3
Weird squirrel!

CONGRATS ON 10,000!!!

Man, now I have to update my TR as I always use you as an excuse and tell people I'll post my next installment right after DU does his!

I haven't been to NASA in years (pre kiddies, in fact) We were going to take them a few years ago, but the space shuttle blew up over Texas the week before we were to go so figured probably not the best time for that trip. Someday! I need about a month in the muthaland, if I'm going to do side trips!

I loved the image of Georgette whispering the rules!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Wow DU another terrific update complete with crack ups :rotfl2:
Hey I figured out your post per day average...it's 10! (10,000 divided by 1095 days which is 365 x 3). So, for all you people yelling at DU to post...he is, he is!!! LOL
I dont know if I would actually go to NASA/SM at this point...I hate tired and run-down....it depresses me. Glad James enjoyed himself though. It sounded like a pretty good side trip! Sorry about the rain but at least it didn't ruin the whole day. :thumbsup2
So what was up with the SS??? It reminded me of the car insurance comercial where the squirrels intentionally run the cars off the road. :rotfl:
OK this post is going round and round...sorry...
Have a great day!

You are CERTIFIABLE!
Crazyfloaty.gif
I was 11...whats your excuse!:lmao:

I know I am, but what are you????:lmao:

No, really, even the cops who were taking the statement from the 3 of us who chased them (yes them, not one, but two robbers...) looked at me and then the two large fellows and said "wow, you were BRAVE" with that special way of saying brave that really meant "wow, you are stupid!" My poor DH just kept shaking his head....:sad2:

WHERE?????:rotfl2:

At Cape Canaveral in '69 silly...or weren't you taking notes?! (but he was not THERE, there...as in not on the moon!:cutie: )

Thanks...what are all you ladies gonna do when I post the future episode called "Disneys all NEW, ALL MALE, ALL NUDE Attraction!"...you will all be bawling!

Sounds Grrreat - when does THAT part of your TR start??!!!!!popcorn:: :woohoo::yay:

Just finished reading your TR...FANTASTIC!! James is such a lucky boy to have such a great uncle...Congrats to all on the baby!!

Can't wait for more report...you just have me :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Told ya at the beginning to take NOTES!:teacher: THERE WILL BE A TEST!
Yes, I had forgotten BUT I consulted my notes (carefully organized in a 3 ring binder and highlighted with no less than 4 colors AND sticky notes to tap the really important sections)..... I always listen when the teacher says there will be a test.

Thanks...what are all you ladies gonna do when I post the future episode called "Disneys all NEW, ALL MALE, ALL NUDE Attraction!"...you will all be bawling!

Yet you often portray one on the Disboards...giving out geneticist logic to unsuspecting Disers!
What in tarnation is "geneticist logic" ???????

Do you both have teeth?
Wouldn't you like to know?;)

Great installment Unca Dis! I really enjoyed reading a review of some local attractions! And congrats on 10044 Lime lovin' posts!

WHo expected another installment this quickly:confused3

::yes:: we are waiting for a non-invisable ink post...:teeth:

Ok on to crazy squirrel...
images2.jpg

I think the coke man should have tossed him a coke too so then he would have been running around all wired up...:teeth: that would have been a sight..:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

2 and 1/2 months till your next trip will ya get it done by then? PD didn't :sad2: LizzY didn't :sad2: they have been back for how long now :confused3 and still no tr update.. what gives...

great job DU can't wait to read more. Now ya got me wanting the pasta from POP that is a must on my list this august...

WE were not too enamored with SM/NASA when we went either. You are correct when you said it is a depressing area. Like there was no life there or something, can't really expalin it

AND

YES! That is the only reason my DH would have me committed....well there maybe a few oither reasons too, but we won't go into that here;)

Great episode again DU!

Suicide squirrel ain't got nutin on you!

get it? ...nutin...:lmao:

I shared your story with my coworker James today...he was getting awfully curious why I was at the front register laughin so much...so I showed him the pictures of your James upside down in the capsule and with the germ sheild on his face.

Did you know that Walt started Disneyland cause he had the same issues you did? Of course you do! He got tired of standing around watching the kids have all the fun :teeth:

Young? yes! Naive? I've been told so. Such a liar? only when asked "who ate the last piece of cake?"

I am totally not getting the cover your eyes/show business thing. please splain to me:confused3

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Arlene Francis, was a minor Broadway/film star in the 30-60's! She was more known for her NYC Social Circle. HOWEVER she is probably best known for being a Panelist of the Game show "Whats My Line?". 'Whats My Line' was a very popular tv show in the 50's to early 70's! The panelists through a series of questions had to guess what a persons job was (it was usually weird jobs)!

NOW this show was HUGELY popular, so much so that they had very famous people of the time appear on it.

When very recognizable celebrities where on The panelist had to wear eye masks (hense the cover your eyes) and Arlene Francis always asked "Are You in Show Business?" in order to deduce who the person was!

This show was so popular that it is parodied in Disney's 101 Dalamtions! The puppies can be seen watching What's My Crime on television when Pongo and Perdita arrive to rescue them. :thumbsup2

Okay, Disunc, you're showing your age now. These younguns don't know anything about that old TV stuff! :sad2: I am so inspired by all these great trip reports that I am making a valiant effort to write one. Just don't expect such stellar and entertaining commentary, please! I do have some 30 year old Disney trip pics posted though. :thumbsup2 (And first I had to figure out how to scan them into my computer, and then how to post them. Not bad for an old lady! Now I just have to figure out how to post them normal size!) :surfweb:

Gads you're observant! :cool2: Since my family watched that show all the time, I never gave it a thought that's what the puppies were watching. :confused3 When I get home from work today I'll just have to put the 101 Dalmations DVD on. :thumbsup2

:goodvibes Have you NOT read the latest ediion...the 'oblivion gene' bypassed me!

I must admit I am keenly observant to things...its a curse! However it helps while watching "The Office"..where there are about 3 dozen things happening at the same time on every episode.:thumbsup2

But this 101 Dalmation fact was given to me, by the POWER of GOOGLE!:wizard:  :woohoo: :yay: In fact 101 Dalmations was a book first, and in the book the dognappers favorite show is "Whats My Crime?"

Excellent TR update....PD112 and you both have that "never miss anything gene" Not that I am in oblivion, I just think you and PD are in over drive. You both crack me up.

My DH wants to go to NASA in July....I am not sure from your reports if you recommend it or not....What do ya think?
