POP Internet Access

I've seen different things about internet access at the resorts. At POP---is it "wired" or "wireless" and if wired, then is the ethernet cable provided in the room or do you need to bring your own. AND, I'm assuming that its --ROOM ONLY--not in any common areas that you can bring your laptop to right??

Yes, it's wired and only in the rooms (AFAIK).

The cable pulls out from behind one of the nightstands and in our case stretched most of the way across the room.

Edit: Sorry, I was thinking about our last visit to ASMu. As I recall from a couple years ago Pop had a cable available in the room for plugging into a wall outlet.

I've used my laptop in the rooms at POP. I just use the ethernet cable that is right there in the room. It is usually hanging in the bag where the hangers are.

Wired high-speed internet access is available in all WDW resort rooms for $9.95 per 24-hour period. Some of the resorts have a cable permanently mounted in the wall which reaches across the room, while others provide you with a plug-in cable, which is usually provided in a hanging bag in the closet area.

Wireless internet access is available in the common areas of only a few WDW resorts - mostly those with convention facilities like CSR and the Boardwalk. It's also $9.95 per 24-hour period, or $4.99 for the first 60 minutes.

We were there in April. That is exactly where the cable. It took me forever to find it.

In fact, I didn't find it. My dh found it and said, "Look, it's right here hanging on a hanger cleverly disguised in this bag with "ethernet cable" written on it!"
