I will be at POP Oct 11 thru the 18, also a friend of mine with her girls will also be there at the same time, my friend said she has read in some other threads that the air conditioners are not that great.

I was there last Oct and was fine, so just wondering how other people feel.

thanks

I checked in today and the room was refreshingly crisp. :cold: I don't see any problems with the A/C at all.

No problems last week when we was at Pop with the A/C room was always comfy day or night.

POP has the new air conditioners with the motion sensors I believe. There is a way to over ride them. Do a search on here for instructions on how to do that.

Not all of them have the motion sensors....dd and I were there in mid-Aug and found the ac to be terrific. Much better than our villa at BC. Those were miserable...we kept waking up at night because we were so hot. Not the case at Pop. In fact, I had to turn our ac down because dd was getting to cold!!!!

We were able to adjust the thermostat, and the temps were perfect for us! We just left there yesterday.

My AC at Pop did not have the override capability - trust me, I tried :)

But it was no problem - I set it for 65º and the room never got above a comfortable 71º, and usually was right on target!

We had 2 connecting rooms in August, and had no problems.

As a matter of fact, of all the hotels I have stayed at over the years - some of them MUCH more expensive - POP had one of the best systems for climate control I have ever experienced.

We stayed there for our honeymoon the second week of August, so it was HOT. No motion sensors at all. It ran when the thermostat told it to. We kept it set on 70 or lower and it was always at that temperature whether we were sleeping or had been gone all day. We missed the chilly AC when we got home!

Housekeeping set it to 65* ,during the day ,nice and cool when we got home from the parks !!! At nite we set it ti 72-74*..just right !

thanks everybody for your reply's, hopefully my friend will feel better
