Ditto that. We stayed in 50s also and loved it! We faced the parking lot but I didn't really care. We were able to get to food court and bus stop very quickly!

60s building, facing the lake, on opposite side of the pool was fantastic, very quiet, relaxing room. Would def stay there again.

50s or 60s are both great buildings. very close to the bus stop and main building. we were facing the lake (not a preferred rm), and it was awesome. soooo quiet. we love pop!

50s or 60s, facing the lake on the 4th floor. :)

thru the years we have stayed from deluxe and moderates and all the values and we tried POP 6 years ago and just loved it. so we been going there since. thought abut going to AoA in a standard room this year and then decided to go back to POP as the bus service ie best of any resort on property and the CM's are great there. we like the pools and they have games if you want to do them and a movie. they do a really cute pool opening each morning as well. we like close to food court and facing the pool and that is called preferred pool view and is extra but my sister does not want to face the woods as she lives in the woods at home...they have standarad and prefered and then the prefered pool just ask them for what you want. we are not much for laying around the resort so we found out a deluxe was to much more to not be in the room or resort. so this works best for us.

Stayed at Pop December 2010 and hasba great stay. Food court is great, resort is not too big, good busses...we are going back in November...can't wait! As far as requesting a certain area, depends on what you want. Close to the pool, quiet, etc...we stayed in a room facing the lake because I wanted quiet...was perfect.

We LOVE POP!! Have stayed 50s, 60s and 70s. Liked them all. Most convenient was probably 60s facing the pool, ground floor-- but I'd be happy anywhere there!

We liked it, but the queue for the bus back to Pop from MK is the longest queue I've ever seen anywhere. Even though we stayed in the park after closing to have a look in the shop. It was so bad we don't want to go back Pop because of it.

We prefer the All Stars, no problem with the bus queues, and I think the themeing is heeeeps better anyway! :)

We have stayed at POP 2 times and we like it. Nice resort and small. AWESOME food court and CM's. Thinking of staying Deluxe next year, but having a hard time believing it will be worth it knowing how much we like POP.

We were in the 80's building near the Computer Pool last year. Loved it! Our room was CLEAN (and I'm picky). No problems with Mousekeeping whatsoever. CMs were friendly, food court was great. No complaints at all - would recommend to anyone. :thumbsup2

Have stayed at POP twice in past year. Requested non-preferred room in the 60's and ended up on the first floor both times. Given location of room, it was actually closer to the pool, Classic Hall and bus stop than most of the upper floor preferred rooms in the same building. We have also stated at other level Disney resorts and this one is our favorite.

We stayed there Dec 2010 and loved it. I ditto everyone who said facing the lake - very quiet and relaxing. We had top floor, so maybe that made a difference as well.

Our next visit will be five of us, so I'm a little sad we won't be returning to POP.

We have stayed at Pop five times. It's our favorite value.

The room to NOT get is one on a corner. Then you have two outter walls and it can be VERY noisy. I learned this the hard way. Now, whenever I check in, I always make sure we're not on a corner.

We love it there! We are going with a child for the first time in 8 weeks (!!). I'm bringing a sound machine because we are in a preferred room and it could be loud. Plus it helps drown out the kids running up and down the hallway. (nothing wrong with that, mine will be one of them!)

i've read the opposite on here, that getting the corner room always results in less noise because you have fewer neighbors. i guess it depends on where the corner is??? :confused3

We were around the corner from the elevator, which might have had something to do with it.

I never will forget waking to a man screaming, "I HAVE to go back to the room because I FORGOT the camera!!!" Needless to say, after that I certainly didn't forget mine!

hahaha! :rotfl: sorry, not laughing at your misfortune, just laughing at the mental image i just got. ;) i always try to request a room far from the elevator when we stay at hotels (usually las vegas) because of the foot traffic. we're lucky that we don't have mobility issues, so we can be far from the elevator.

I've been to Pop in December as well and loved it. We are doing it again this December. I requested a bottom floor room near the main building and was given a room in the 50's section facing the parking lot. We loved it. Very close and quick to the main areas and bus stops.
