Which building/floor should a single gal traveling solo request at POP?
I'd rather not be by a pool,
I'd rather be in a quieter area (if that exists lol)

and should I call the reservations hotline to add a request to my reservation (its already in place) or just wait until I show up and hope they can accommodate me? (in Dec)

I've made 3 solo trips and have stayed in buildings 7, 8 and 9. I prefer this area because of the walk across the parking lot to the bus stop and like being in a room closest to parking. I'm heading back after Thanksgiving and will likely call in this time with a more specific area request. My last stay in April, they had me in building 7 and the castmember didn't seem too happy about my room change request at first but they did move me to the 3rd floor of building 8.

We did not have a fridge when we arrived Saturday (70s section, building 6). I went to the front desk and requested one. When we came back from the park a few hours later we had one. It was turned to high so everything froze over night but I pulled it our and adjusted the knob in back and it's working great now.

Here now, I don't see one in front of the window. The closest (without running a chord in front of the door) is an outlet by the table which isn't far from the window with an extension chord.

Yes. We didn't have KTTW cards Saturday when we arrived....nobody who checked in Saturday did because the system was down. Total disaster because our MagicBands didn't work so we had no way into the room! But was able to get them Sunday and they pull paper FPs with no problems. We have been doing it throughout the trip.

On a related note, today (day 4 of our trip) was the first time I was able to access FP+ on my phone to make changes. Many problems with DME since arriving on property. Apparently this is very common right now. So not feeling a bit guilty "double dipping" with all the glitches & problems with this new system! It worried great from home....not much at all once here.

I checked in today and got a KTTW card (which worked for me to pull paper FPs today and the dates on it are until I leave on Oct 31st.

I got sick at MNSSHP tonight and wound up coming home around 11pm wanting to just curl up in bed, and my TV isn't working ugh!

When we were there last my DD came down with a case of "sparkles" in her throat!!! She is differently-abled with limited communication skills. I thought this was a spot-on description of her sore throat!

Our remote doesn't work unless we stand directly in front of it. Doesn't work from the end of the beds, and the room is small!

Yep saw the post about it on a FB group and was with my friend whose mom works at POR. She said yeah that she had heard from her mom the same thing. Guess for now its just a small amount at a time and will be a hit or miss if you get one or not.
