Well, being that I'm originally from upstate NY, it was "pop" for me too growing up. It was hard to get used to referring to it as "soda" in PA ... so I just say soda pop.


Don't ya think POP should have an old fashioned Soda POP Fountain??? How cool would that be??

Maybe a separate station near the 50s pool???

I think that is a great idea It would fit in great with the theming if they had a 50's type diner style counter - like the kinds at the old fashioned drug stores or general stores that made soda pops, milkshakes and malts. A counter clerk on roller skates would really add to the ambience

I LOVE candy. My favorite candy at Disney would have to be the salt water taffy. I could eat it until I get sick, at least 2 large bags the week we are there, lol! YUMMY!

haha! Last time we were there I got one of those HUGE mickey head rice crispy treats!! It took me 2 weeks to eat it! I think I will be getting another our next trip!

I've never been to Pop, but my DS picked it for his b-day trip. We are super excited!

I just spent 10 days in Disney World and had several bus trips where I was the only one on the bus so I had some nice conversations with the drivers One driver who has worked for Disney for many, many years told me that Art of Animation will NOT share buses with Pop In fact, according to him, they have earmarked 60 buses to service Art of Animation Of course, time will tell

For the child menu breakfast, what comes with the Mickey waffles or breakfast platter?

We are gearing up for another trip to Disney where we will stay at Pop! We have stayed there at least 10 times and every year declare we will stay somewhere else next visit...but we are always outnumbered by 3 little munchkins who LOVE Pop Century!! We will be there May 21 - May 25. There are 8 traveling in our group including a 9 year old, 8 year old and a 5 year old.

we will be half way to Disney by this time tomorrow...we will get up at three am and leave the house at quarter of four ...pick up our daughter (rem her husband is Disney challenged)..and then off to the airport...we will meet our son and dil and two munchkins there and board our plane for the Happiest place in Florida...

with the cold snap here in maine...I am sooooo ready to warm up...I read the ten day forecast and it is going to be in the high 80s and 90s while we are there...YES YES YES..

so see you when I return...I do not do computers while we are gone...relax and enjoy ...

My first laugh today ... this is SOOO me. I've been known to buy Christmas presents early, stash them away in a safe place I will definitely remember and then totally can't find them come the holiday!!

OT: Growing up my parents would take our trailer and one of the places we would go often is to Bar Harbor. It's a beautiful area .. we would go at the end of July/first week in August to catch your "summer"

Nice to hear another confirmation of no bus sharing with AoA ... of course, as you say, time will tell!

And you had bus rides with only YOU on the bus?? WOW! Guess traveling in August for FD, just used to full buses all the time.

Many of the bus drivers are very interesting to talk to, with all the Disney facts. Remembering coming back from the Pirate & Princess party and the driver was playing "Yo Ho Ho, a Pirates life for me" over and over, and joined in singing with the rest of us!

OFF THE TOPIC: But has anyone ever received 2 batches of "Mikey Mail"? I have and just wondered which one would be good to do the redemption for the arcade or should I just bring both booklets with me??

We are headed back to Pop in 33 days, I am getting so excited. We hvae a busy May ahead of us, so I hope that means it will just whizzz on by. We haven't stayed at pop since Dec 2010 and I miss it so much.

We are taking my MIL and her husband on their first trip, coincidentally, Pop is where we also stayed on our first trip. It has special meaning for us. I am really excited to share one of our favorite resorts with them.

Does Disney just mail if you have a package? We are staying at Pop June 8-16 and have room only reservation. I was wondering if they mail some sort of comfirmation before this time?

Not 100% sure as my DD is now 13 , but this is what I found:

Mickey Waffles with bacon and applesauce
Breakfast Platter - scrambled eggs, bacon and applesauce

If on the QSDP, you get a choice of drink ...1% Mickey milk, small apple juice, or small bottled water with the meal.
