Sure ... my lunchtime is coming up soon! :rotfl2:

Well, I've tried to cut back .... was successful the last 2 weeks (aided by some stomach issues) but have fallen off the wagon ... :upsidedow making my WaWa stop every morning before heading into work. BUT, have eliminated it after work, that's a good start right??

I've been trying to wean myself from sodas, so I've been leaning more to iced teas. But, as a Southern boy, it's been even more difficult to wean myself from the sweet stuff to unsweetened...but I'm trying.

Janet, the first time I gave it up, I went cold turkey. I was sick for 3 days. It was AWFUL. This last time, I weaned ;)

Goofy, never been a fan of sweet tea, I like mine unsweatened with lemon. I do enjoy green tea on occasion but right now, the goal for me is no caffeine. I gave up coffee 6 months ago and never looked back. I would definitely consider myself a recovering Diet Coke-aholic!

I know it's called different things in different parts of the country, but here we call diet Coke "pop", not soda. So I am at work laughing at all these people talking about pop on the POP thread. :rotfl2: Just for the record I prefer diet Pepsi/Pepsi Max and will have to deal with diet Coke for the week in Disney. But I think that's a small sacrifice to make for a week in the World.

I hope everyone gets their soda fixes soon!

I was reading aboout room requests and I was wondering what location ( outside prefered) was closest to the Main Hall.

For some unexplained reason, I was originally booked as a prefered room because that's all that was available and got documentation confirming that booking, when I called to add a day I was told I was booked in a standard room (before adding the day change) and then all my paperwork reflected that status. Except for wanting to be sure I wasn't paying for something I'm not getting I'm ok with it...but I'd still like to be central to the main building.

We call it pop here too in MI. Either way, I will probably fall of the Diet Coke wagon when we go to Disney in August. I'll be back on the "pop" at Pop :rotfl2: Sometimes, I crack myself up! :rotfl:

Been there too and have felt your pain ... now when I can, I mix half diet coke/half diet caffeine free diet coke to cut back on my caffeine in-take. :)

Weird to say the least about the category change. :confused3

For a standard room, would request 70s or 60s ... both are close to Classic Hall and are great locations ... we always request lake view as well (in the 60s the standard rooms are lakeview, and many of the 70s are too). :goodvibes

Ugh I gave up coke and I'm now back drinking again. No diet here. I will say I limit myself to one a day. On vacation I'm pretty much soda free since I like the light lemonade and water. But in the am here I need my caffeine fix for the day. Darn you Coke!

Well, being that I'm originally from upstate NY, it was "pop" for me too growing up. :goodvibes It was hard to get used to referring to it as "soda" in PA ... so I just say soda pop. :goodvibes

 Don't ya think POP should have an old fashioned Soda POP Fountain??? How cool would that be??

Maybe a separate station near the 50s pool???:banana:

I remember seeing this some time back, but can't find it now--how much for milk at Pop's grocery market, preferably in a 1/2 gallon size (so it will fit in new fridges)? That is the only thing we will need from a store and I hate to make a trip to a grocery store for 1 item if it is reasonably priced at Pop.

Thanks!!!!!

Thank you. I thought the whole category change was odd too, but like I said, unless I'm paying for something I'm not getting (and it's hard to tell with the free dining thrown in) I really don't mind.

As of 6/2011, milk is available in the 1/2 gallon size for $2.99 (whole & 1%). :goodvibes

You're welcome! :goodvibes Yeah, it bugs me that Disney doesn't break out the pricing on packages ... but as long as it references a standard room on your confirmation it should all be correct. :thumbsup2

One is day is good :thumbsup2...it's probably more like one 6-pack for me. :rotfl2: But at Disney, I tend to have my caffeine more in the AM and stay with mostly water during the day ... those August days are just too hot!!

But when returning from the parks ... my brain just steers the way to those pop machines ... and I refuel. :goodvibes

You must be on the other side of PA if they say soda. Here in NW PA we say pop.
It drove me crazy when we lived in NY for 13 years and they said soda. Soda makes me think of seltzer water.

I lived in Texas for 3 months a few years ago and everything was called Coke. It was ridiculous. What kind of Coke do you want could be answered with diet Pepsi. :confused3

That would be fun!! Where is the suggestion box?? :)

I'm a major Diet Coke drinker -- my DS16 gets on my case about it. But I can only handle caffeinated until about noon or I don't sleep --and since I already have trouble sleeping for the first night or two in a new place, I'm always concerned about this. Sure wish I could get decaf Diet Coke at the World! But I haven't even seen it at the Coke place in Epcot (anybody else have any info regarding caffeine-free?). And I'm not crazy about the light lemonade, so I'll be bringing flavor packets for ice water with me.

Does anyone have a good idea of about how long it takes to get from Pop to DTD? My flight gets in at 6:15 pm on Thursday, and assuming it will probably be 8 by the time I'm at Pop and checking in, it's not worth heading to a park (although that's the last day for Snow White at MK, and I've never done it, so there may be a temptation). But I thought I'd head to DTD, get some dinner, upgrade my 1-day ticket to an AP (and where is Guest Services at DTD, by the way?), and get to bed at a reasonable time.

If I could EAT Coke I would. I want them to make ULTRA Coke.....

This was posted by someone for me, concerning DTD guest relations :) :
