Hi,

We are coming to Disney over March Break. We are staying at Pop for the first time. Is there anything we should know about staying here? Also is $230 p/n over march break a crazy price for a value resort? Thanks in advance

It’s pretty much what I have seen for every pop century regular room from October through feb.

I always tell folks to take some time and enjoy looking at the Shadow Boxes in Classic Hall-maybe the most unique thing in any WDW Resort.

We always request the 1950s-we love sitting by Bowling Pool and listening to the wonderful 1950s Soundtrack with Elvis Presley, the Big Bopper, etc.

Considering that a relatively short time ago,I could get a Standard Room at Pop Century with my AP Discount for $49.00(granted that was before the Room Refurb and addition of Disney Skyliner),yes that is a CRAZY price!!!!lol

But times have changed and it is what it is!lol :)

I think that is a lot of cash, but it's the going rate around spring break these days. Hang in there and see if they offer any room discounts, would not really count on it though.

skyliner is great, but it gets long lines at park opening/closing. they move relatively quickly, but they are long. Apparently Art of Animation still runs buses to Epcot and HS, so if you dont' want the skyliner you can walk over there.

I like requesting the 50s too, it is close to the main building as well.

Pop is one of my favorite resorts. $230 a night is normal for Spring break, and weeks around Easter. That dang Skyliner was what brought the price up( and the refurb 4 yrs ago?). It is the best thing Disney has done for transportation. It's so easy to get around to Studios and Epcot.
Hope they build another route for it.
And since Disney has/will refurb the other value resorts. Don't be surprise their prices go up.

Pop has generally been 20-30 per night more than the Allstars (part of that is because Allstars are in Osceola County with different taxes from the resorts in Orange), and the nonsuite rooms at AOA a little more than Pop. It can be more like $40 difference now I think.

Pretty normal for that time of year, its also becoming more and more popular because of the skyliner for easy transportation.

Yes. It's a crazy price for a value resort.

Disney resort prices are crazy these days. So yes, it's a crazy price, but in line with the new normal.

I agree w/WEDWDW: the shadow boxes are awesome. And if you get a chance to go strolling around the lake, the many signs along the way commemorating a variety of pop century historical events are equally entertaining.

If you are interested in using the Art of Animation food court (better than Pop's, IMHO), its gift shop, or its buses, you might want to request a 60's ("yo-yo") room. That puts you closest to AoA just across "Generation Gap Bridge." That's particularly convenient when heading back from a park that is accessed by bus, letting you hop on either a Pop bus or an AoA bus, whichever comes sooner.

We love Pop.

$230 is in line with holiday week bookings. I think that's worth it for the Skyliner access and the updated rooms.

If you don't have a car, I think it's worth requesting a room closer to the main building and Skyliner or booking a preferred room. The rooms on the south end of the resort are a long walk from park transportation.

it seems pricey but having direct access to the skyliner is a great benefit! It’s cheapest resort with the best travel options which alone save a ton of time. More time, more you can experience!
