Had a hold for a room at POR because CSR had no rooms for our one night. Have since reconsidered to go to a value instead since it is only one night and we will only be in the room to sleep for a few hours after MVMCP.

WWYD?? Pop Century with my pin is 121/ night and ASMU is 114/night both preferred rooms. Decided to switch from a Mod to a Value because the $60 we would save a night will pay for our meals and we really arent even going to be in the room only to sleep.

Big ? is which Value would be best for transport to MK for MVMCP---we like staying at CSR because the bus stop is convienent and there is more than one and the busses are never really crowded. Afraid at both of these resorts with only 1 bus stop it will be crazy. We will get in around 1pm and then get ready to head to MK a little before 4.

Can anyone advise as to which resort would have better/quicker bus service to MK I do know that Pop is closer to the MK and we have never stayed there before so thought it would be neat to see it. Is pop worth $10 more a nite or does it really matter?

Main concern is ability to get a bus without having to wait too long on a Thursday night.

Also does anyone know which of these is better for Magical Express when we get in? Anyone know how many other resorts the ME bus stops at for each of these and how many share the ME bus? I guess how long will it take us to get to either one of these resorts from the airport?? Thanks

When I was there in Aug, we left at closing and the bus stops were very crowded. The All Star resorts each had their bus just like Pop. The lines were long, but they just kept sending buses sometimes loading 2 at a time. I think we waited half an hour to get on a bus, which was a little longer due to me having a scooter. I would stay at Pop and save the money.

I've stayed at both and I would say the bus service is pretty much exactly the same. Sometimes you wait 5 minutes for a bus, and sometimes its half an hour. Sometimes there is no line for the bus and sometimes one particular park bus will have a long line, usually because the are having EMH or a bus for that park hasn't come in awhile. We have also stayed at Deluxe and Mod resorts and have found the buses pretty much the same at all of them. Actually WL probably had the worst bus service of all as it shared with the campground and GF. I guess my point is that no one can really predict how long it will take to get a particular bus to a particular park on any given day from any resort.

I've also never really found any difference with ME. I think they just load the buses based on which flights are coming in at that time. So, you may be the first stop, or you may be the last, and there is really no way to know ahead of time. I don't think they have a set itinerary. I usually figure about 2 hours from landing time till I am actually in my hotel room. However, one time I waited an hour and a half just to check in at POR (in low season). The line was out the door. My last check in at an All Star took about 5 minutes so I was in my room in less than an hour and a half total from the time I landed. I also have 3 kids so we usually require bathroom stops and occasionally snacks when we land.

I would just go with whichever resort appeals to you the most. I wouldn't worry too much about the $10 difference, that's about the cost of a Mickey bar.

I would go with AS resorts. I like them better than POP and have stayed at them all many times. There are more people staying at POP than at one specific AS resort therefore more people are likely to be waiting on the bus. On the other hand, POP would be worth it if you were going to walk over to see AoA.

Pop is hands down better than any of the All Stars. I have stayed at all the values and Pop is the best and definitely worth the extra 7$.

When I have stayed at All Stars and gone to MK until late/closing, they have separated the three properties in the bus terminal, so you were getting 3 All Star busses for 1 Pop. The lines definitely reflected it. The queue for the All Star would never fill and the Pop one overflowed.

Pop had it's own bus line when we stayed. I am not sure if that has changed since AOA. I loved PoP but would stay at AOA because it is newer but that's just my preference. The rest of the values are all pretty much the same except for their different themed pools. ASM is just fine too but PoP is newer.

If you stay at Pop you can do the Magic Band testing and reserve FP+ for your 4-7 time at MK.

We love the Pop Resort, but if I had the chance I would look at one of the Art of Animation rooms that wasn't a suite (I think the Little Mermaid rooms are regular rooms). Of course if it costs more, then go with Pop and you can just visit AoA :)

We weren't that fond of the All Star resort because when we stayed there I seem to remember a lot of teenage groups there. Not sure if that is typical. But I didn't notice that at Pop.
