Staying Saturday night at Pop Century before we head over to POR for the week. Might go to Disney Springs for dinner or just hang at the resort....and being that they are attached, any input on which food court they prefer?TIA!

We prefer Pop. AoA just holds no appeal. Each time we have been there, the CM's have been less than friendly, it's been chaotic and LOUD, and the food was meh...definitely not worth the walk over.

We prefer the food court at AOA. We think the food is better and there's more variety.

In direct contrast to Minnesota! above, I found the Pop food court chaotic and loud, and while AoA isn't exactly an oasis of tranquility I found the food much better (the pasta is great!).

I give nod to AoA and LOVE walking all around the resort, checking out the different areas of the buildings. Imagineering at it's best.
Totally agree here. I love the food options at AoA a lot more than Pop. Plus the theme is fabulous. I love taking a stroll at AoA.

Chaotic and loud?? Moreso pop??? Lol. Sorry but I have yet to experience a quiet food court at ANY value resort.

I should add that I've never been bothered by noise at any of the food courts. Maybe im just use to it? Who knows. But I have never found it to be too bad.

I think it was just the clanging of the dishes by all the peoples :) When you have plastic utensils and paper plates at Pop vs glassware and real silverware at AoA, the noise just really stands out. I can't stand the sound of utensils on plates...so it just really stood out as an extra chaotic noise.

 I forgot about the clanking of real dishes!! Your right! That would make it noisier wouldn't it? :)

It does - and I am so sensitive to sounds like that (I get all ragey!!), so it just really wore on me. I can barely handle the noise at home with 4 of us...so when I am surrounded by 100's of people making that noise...well, it's not a good thing for my mental state, ha ha!!

It's been about 8 years since I have stayed at a value - been doing Moderates and I'm afraid I may have gotten used to the relative mellow-ness of them. DD and I are headed to AoA tomorrow so this thread is helping gear me up for some loud and crazy food court action!

Have never eaten at either food court, but I have to say from food pics and dining reviews, that picnic burger at Pop - while over the top gluttonous - looks pretty darn good!

Yes I can sympathize with that. Certain noises drives me bonkers too!

AoA really does have unique offerings. its quite tasty. I really like the make your own pasta, make your own salad, and also the ground chicken burger. I'd take a look at menu's online to see if it appeals to you before you decide to walk over there.

I prefer Pop. My entire family was so underwhelmed by the food at AoA we ended up going off property for a meal (for the first time ever) rather than have another dinner as planned.

The menu sounds great at AoA and I love the fact that the tableware is not plastic and won't end up in a landfill. I guess its possible we had a string of bad luck during our week we visited.

I've not had issues with CMs but I cannot adequately state how LOUD and CHAOTIC it is. It takes too long to get the food at each station and I found the food "sounds" better than it tastes. And I've given the place 4, separate chances. Stick with Pop....
