POP CENTURY ... LAST WEEK of SEPT. 07 MEET

Thought I culd pick up a couple of frozen concentrated OJs. I was thinking about bringing a small soft sided cooler (and yes it fits!) so I could put them in ziplock bags and then in the cooler. Should be good and thawed by Sat night!

As to what I pack:

4 Skorts w/ 2 tops each
2 tank tops & cotton sleep pants
Undies for 7 days
Makeup bag which also holds a comb, hairspray & deoderant
1 pr light sneakers, 2 pr sandals
2 small bags to carry stuff at the parks
4 chargers (1 Ipod, 2 phone & 1 camera)
Rest of the toiletry stuff fits in a 1 gal Ziplock

DD will have similar clothes & maybe 2 more pr of flip flops

Now, the soft sided cooler too.

This would probably fit in one suitcase but we'll take 2 just to give us more room for the way back and I'll also carry an oversized bag on the plane. DD just came home with a GREAT quilted bag from AE, definitely coming w/us!! SOOO cute.

Have I forgotten anything? This is really all we used last year.

What are your dates? BTW, the 22nd is my mom's bday too. I bought a small table decoration that I'll surprise her with. I'll have that and her gift on the table waiting for her when she gets out the shower in the morning. Thinking about calling around to get a cake for her as well.

Don't worry about packing any of the cups, I am going to pick up about 100 cheapy cups..at Walgreens.

I bought glow cups (only 2 tho!) at Walgreens last year - 75% off!! They are ugly red plastic cups that fit a glow stick in the handle!! '

Gayle - thanks for the list - I will work on packing that - I guess maybe I just have a small suitcase - that is about all that can fit in my suitcase!!

Sunlover I havent told dd 10 - but I have hinted - in as much as... we're not doing anything - lets go to disney THIS WEEKEND!! and she looks at me terrified - "NO, I am NEVER getting on a plane again" Just go w/o me!! oh no!! Now what do I do?? So now I keep telling her how sad I am that she has outgrown Disney... she tells me its not Disney, its the plane!! HELP!! I probably will not tell her till the night before... (we'll leave at 4AM!)

I have not been on DIS most of summer due to computer problems (DOA and now replaced) & extra work hours.
I am on the list but wrong dates (We will actually be @ POP 18-27).

We made ADRs for 9:30 because of a late lunch and want to see Spectromagic so we will head over after dinner and see who is still glowing at the Hippie Pool.

I will be ordering from Garden Grocer too if there is something specific anyone thinks of over next couple of weeks.

Okay ladies & Gents.. I am starting to think we are going to need more stuff for the dance3: Can a few more folks bring stuff.. Like, cups, Pinapple juice, o.j, or maybe a second cooler for Non Alchoholic beverages

Count me in for the party and to bring something beverage wise or snacky - whichever works...will have a car while down there. Suggestions on what to bring???

Being accompanied by my 10yr DN Gregory. Told him about the party, he is all up for it. Wanting to know if there will be more kids there. Found really cool glow in the dark spinning tops at the Dollar Store. They also have, what appears to be, this neon green spiderwebby stuff to put out. May look really cool with window decorations (to those of you decorating). I'm on the low end of the artsy-craftsy creativity scale, so well see

Pubugg No worries for Gregory, my dd is 10 - and I've counted several kiddies amongst the glow crowd - I'm going to bring lots of extra glow necklaces/sticks to hand out!!

LOVE the countdown, it really is a great idea - I WANT ONE!! and can I just say, I love the typo!!

Because the one year we went end of Sept and because all the posts say low crowds, I was hugely shocked and stressed because it was CROWDED - so just prepare for the worst, and lets be pleasantly surprised!! I'm thinking the week before the 22 will be much lower crowds than after - and I'm basing that on my past experience - with adrs and with full resorts!! It wont be 4th of July Christmas crowded, but it may feel like JULY!! (heat and humidity!!)

Jenni, love the countdown. For mine all I did was scribble some numbers on the calendar which I mark off everyday. I'm not very creative.

Ahhh, 28 days! It's getting so close. I'm going to freak when the first person leaves, we won't leave til 21st. So we won't be the first of the last. \

Kelli, any particular juice you prefer, or just anything we can fine will do? We're taking a big soft sided cooler to put our soda in, we maybe could loan it to ya for the party.

What time is the party starting? Our Chef Mickey's reservation isn't til 8:30 [couldn't get it earlier] !!!
