So, it's been a rough day. DH worked earlier today (7:30- 3:30) and is changing shifts tonight (11:30- 7:30). So including driving, he was only going to have about 6 hours at home to rest. I say "was" b/c we got in a wreck about 1.5 mi. from home this afternoon. Sheriff reported a "no fault". It is a bad spot and we've seen several, albeti, much worse accidents there. He only got about an hour of sleep and he is a little sore.

OMG! I'm so sorry you had a bad day...hopefully the rest of the week will get a little better for you guys. Glad DH was ok though

Well actually, we did get a bit of bad news last week I recently had an MRI done because of headaches and the results came back bad. They will be running further tests and a brain tissue sample this week. Evidently I have two small blood vessels at the top of my head (which make my legs work) that are showing signs of weekness and might need to be addressed soon. If that happens our trip will have to be cancelled. I am crossing my fingers and praying everyday for a good outcome. The reason this is so critical is because it runs in the family my grandfather passed at the age of 47 and my mother at 41 from this. Good news is... they have caught it early in my case. So.. I am hanging in there and not letting it ruin my planning

my new monorail wasn't acceptable either (too many bytes) so I've added a new line instead!! See below! And Canadian Guy (really has been nice) promised to send a link for one that will work, sigh, sniff, sniff.

So Kelli, look out, they're on a monorail hunt!!!!

On the lighter side of the news, I changed our 6 day PH to 7 day, just in case, and it cost a grand total of $2.12!! for both of us! No ME tags yet. We're at 38 days so should come soon!

Hi girls!!! DD had her first day of K (1/2 day)! She seems happy. DH was able to be there, which was nice, b/c I wasn't holding it together very well.

Sarah- I love anthropology, have considered getting a degree, but there isn't much work in it around here ...DH and I both love history! Although he is more of a military person, than I. But I do find WW2 and the Crusades absolutely fascinating!

There isn't too much work around here either...dh will probably end up teaching somewhere. This is the "retirement" plan. So he can retire from auto production and do something else.

He did get to do a full fledged dig last year on a 1690 Fort site. It was French, and English, at different times. Awesome opportunity, a lot of undergrads don't get to do it.
Anyone asks him about that at the party, they are good for a while.

Sandy/Eyeore something or other said that I should mention BEER as one of my dh's interests as it is a feature in my PRE-TRIP REPORT [Shameless plug alert!!!] So if anyone else likes beer...it's a topic also. LOL

DH loves Beer! I liked fruity, fun, umbrella type drinks, but he likes beer! Gag!!!

Canadianguy just made me get rid of the monorail in my siggie!! Said it was too big for board guidelines. Since I haven't the foggiest idea how one makes things the correct "size", I can't shrink it Although I've seen it in many other siggies, don't know why mine was unlawful
