POP CENTURY ... LAST WEEK of SEPT. 07 MEET

Thanks, everyone.

I didn't know about the Epcot Past Guided Tour. Looks like I'll be on the phone in the morning to get in that tour. I hope it's not to late...:headache:

Hi John, The Epcot Guided Tour isn't being offered by Disney. It is an event that has been put together by Nathan Rose. He has put together a day of events referred to as "The Epcot Thing". The tour is being led by Jeff Lange - are you familiar with his work?

Through Nathan, I found a link to Dreamfinder forever. They have organized an Illuminations Dessert Party on the patio across from Italy.

I'm also doing Party for the Senses with Eyeore45 (from the "Glow Party") on the 29th.

If you need any additional info, just holler!
TTFN,
Alisa

Hi Guys...Late night Karensokool again. I just got home from cater-waitering a big dinner (200+ people) for vitamin salespeople. No bar at this one but these people brought their own energy drinks and were pounding them! That's why I'm just getting home, now. They partied late and would have kept going if we didn't start stacking chairs around them! So I'll be sleeping in tomorrow. DH says I'm a "gettin up at the crack of noon" type of girl! At Disney, though, I'm an early riser. Up early and out the door to the parks. During Ski season I'm an early riser, too. I lead two lives...My spring/summer SAHM life: sleeping late...going to the pool...goofing off...and my fall/winter life: working at the mountain...kids skiing and snowtubing everyday (cheaper than childcare), manic pace. This year we wrapped up the ski season in late March due to a last minute epic snowfall here in PA.(thanks alot Mother Nature) and I started planning our trip to WDW the day the ski resort closed down! 45 days to go...when will I get my ME tags and and packet? Anyone know?

I do not figure that I need to purchase any glow items since I just naturally 'glow', especially after park hopping all day. Stay upwind folks!!

Snork, congratulations on a guilt free trip. Just think, when you get back home from this trip, instead of paying off the last trip you can start saving for the NEXT trip!! Feels so good!!!

karensokool, you change with the seasons. That is nothing to feel ashamed about. It means that you are a flexible person and more interesting than some. Besides it sounds as if you rest up so that you can spend time with your kids and that is a very, very good thing. :cheer2:

Hey everyone. Long time, no post. Anyway, my wife and I made our final payment yesterday, our first trip to Disney without using a credit card. All out of pocket. Now comes the pain of saving up cash for the trip (50 days of peanut butter for me...)

My wife is excited about the glow party. We have a Party American across the street from us (a party supply store) and she has all her glow stuff picked out.

She's also looking into decorating our window. Last year we stayed at POR, and our neighbor had thier window decorated, she is using that as inspiration.

Here's our abbreviated ressies;

Sept 22. Arrive@noon, MGM, Mama Melrose 5pm and Phantasmic.
Sept 23. AK, Jiko 6pm
Sept 24. MK, Liberty Tree 1pm, Tonys Town Square 7:30pm.
Sept 25. Epcot, Marrekesh 6pm.
Sept 26. AK in the AM, DTD pm, DisneyQuest then Reglan Road 8:30pm.
Sept 27. MK, Chef Mickeys with the in-laws 10:30am.
Sept 28. Typhoon Lagoon then Kona 6:20pm then MNSSHP.
Sept 29. MGM, Spoodles 8:00pm.
Sept 30. Seaworld day.
Oct 1. Epcot. Our 3rd wedding anniversay, Epcots 25th birthday. Coral Reef 4pm.
Oct 2. Minigolf, DTD, or another water park. Undecided. We leave for Minnesota that night.

As a side note, we are dressing as the lead characters from High School Musical at MNSSHP. So if you see a bald, heavy guy dressed like a Wildcat, that's me.

Hi John and Laura!! We have a glow store here too, but I've been looking thru clearance items (after the 4th of July) and found some great bargains! Be careful packing the necklaces!!

We're also paying off bit by bit - $500 to go - then the extras - MNSSHP and Party for the Senses!!! :cool1: Cant wait to meet others that are going - its a fun time - no worries if you go it alone btw - we stake out a large table, and then take off grab something good to eat or drink, come back to the table, or stand by the Cirq de Solei people - often I barely see dh!! We just wander, sit, but mostly try and make conversations with others!!

How are things in St Paul?

Good Morning Girls!!!

First thing DD asked this morning, before she even crwled out of bed, was, "Are you ready to "x" another day?" :lmao:

I just realized something this morning! We leave on the 21st, I'll be all excited getting last minute things done. Then super giddy while I SIT and WAIT for the time to come. So of course, my first thought was I'll share my excitment with you b/c I feel like we have become such good friends. But then I realized...most of you will already be gone!!!! So I guess I'll just jump up and down in my LR until its time, singing, 'I'm going to Disneyworld...' :bounce:

I think I'm the 3rd to say this - I leave on the 21st too! :cool1: :cool1:

I have a connecting flight in Cinn Ohio from St Louis in early a.m. (Delta flights 5282 and 1116) Anyone going to be on my plane?

Well, most of you who leave on the 21st are leaving in the AM. Lucky you ;). We will be leaving about 5PM. I wish we were flying!!!

We are leaving the 8th and I will have things all in order for when you all get there. Well, I will try!!

These days go awfully fast when you are the one with all the work to do though. :laundy:

Hi everyone~
Hope you are all having a great Sunday. Not much here to report today...other then I need to get out of the house. I'm being such a pig today & craving everything in sight....so much for the diet...

becky_AK, I have found that the further I walk, away from my kitchen, the skinnier I get. Not sure how that works in your neck of the woods where there might be a bear around who love to have YOU for a snack though. :scared1:

Today is gone, nothing you can do, just pick yourself up, dust yourself off and make tomorrow a new day. You do not have to be perfect everyday just most of them.

SG/Linda

Am I the only one who is both thrilled that we are getting one day closer and freaked out because we have one less day to get things done???:scared1:

Last night my grandson did my Mousekeeper envelopes. One more thing out of the way!!

POPing in to say Hi...My dsl modem is still down, I should get my new one today(for those that dont know, it got struck by lightning 3 days ago), so I am on my neighbors network but wanted to stop in and try to catch up.
We are leaving at 6:00am on the 16th and staying in a hotel in Macon GA..and plan to arrive in WDW on the 17th @ 4:00ish. Im soo excited. I rememebr when we hit the 100 day mark and I was sooo happy --now Im at like 40--It will go by sooo fast!!!!! Cant wait to see you all there!!

Morning Farrah and Linda!

Linda, the reason you are feeling freaked is b/c you leave so soon! You are so lucky!

I'm sooo excited too! :yay:

I paid off the trip yesterday (credit card) and worked on our costumes for MNSSHP - they are almost done. I had to make Mickey Toaster Strudle because of a post (Heath and Javens Mom Pre Trip) I showed my daughter - :)

What isn't exciting is that I've been having a lot of bad dreams - nightmares ! :scared1: I dream that we are in Disney - but off in some weird place that's not finished yet and there's nothing to do, then I realize that I forgot to make the costumes, realized I missed the Halloween Party and my reservation. :scared1: We just keep wondering around this construction site ?????? :sad2: I'm always sooo happy to wake up! :)

I thought of these when I had a bout of insomnia around 4 am this morning. Dh left for work, DD15 mo. got up to nurse, and as I was sitting with her my mind starting going--I'm trying to re-do my kitchen and plan Disney at the same time :sad2: --and next thing ya know I can't sleep.
So I got thinking that I need to design our envelopes, and get the smaller bills to put in them for 11 nights :scared1: , and maybe I had better make my mom some too, so that she doesn't have to worry about it....
Sigh.

I'm sooo excited too! :yay:

Whenever I dream of Disney, it's always run down, or dirt paths, or something else crazy (forgot to buy tickets???). Never good dreams. I don't know why that is, b/c WDW is the stuff dreams SHOULD be made of! LOL

Got my LGMH's Sat. DD and I are going to make some tags.

Me too! This weekend mine was it's the last day of the trip, I realize we've forgotten to visit half the parks and go on half the rides, I get lost driving to our breakfast ADR, and when we finally get to breakfast there's nothing on the menu my dh will eat. Sigh. Methinks we try to hard to make everything "perfect" and end up making ourselves crazy.

Mousekeeping envelopes--d'oh! One more thing for the kids to do in their free time. And the diet? Don't ask, don't tell.:sad2:

ETA: Just realized it's time to change my siggie--ds turned 4 over the weekend. He was very disappointed that he didn't wake up Saturday suddenly much taller and able to read.

Morning all..:hippie:

I need to find one of you ladies to pass off the cooler, goodies and cups to on the 22nd so they will be at the party early..

WHO IS PLANNING TO BE AT THE GLOW PARTY EARLY ??

Not sure what time we'll be at the party. It's my mom's bday and I'm not sure off hand what exactly we're doing that evening. I have my itiniary at work and I'm home today.

Slighty.... it's funny you mentioned the mousekeeper envelopes. I was just thinking about that yesterday. How do you decorate them? Do you put stickers on them or does your DGS color or draw on them? Something else I have to add to my things to do list. Make sure I get plenty of singles.

Well, I have 39 days left to go. It feels so good to be in the 30's. I know some of you will be there in a day or two.
