POP CENTURY ... LAST WEEK of SEPT. 07 MEET

yeah...I don't know if I can do that...

Seriously though, eating isn't so much my problem, it's exercise! I don't get out enough. If I lived on a paved road, I could get some more walking in! I am SO going to be out of shape for WDW!

DITTO.. I hate exercise:eek: and it shows :guilty: :sad2: :cool2: But I can't beat myself up for being Pooh sizedpooh: Mister Disney loves all sizes:flower1: . On a good note, I have lost 9 pounds in the last 6 months :snail: and I am Freaking Sexy !!:butterfly

Wooo Hoo!!! puckerup:

I've lost 20# since the beginning of the year (baby weight), but there is still so much (baby weight) to loose. I had managed to get back down to a 12 before I got pregnant with DS, Now I border a 16!:scared1: I hate it! And since I have a short torso and wide thighs, clothing shopping is a NIGHTMARE!!

Sorry, it is not a joke minnieandme. The way I figure it is that whatever food got me to where I am is what I needed to get rid of. It is painful at first but none is far better than some for me cause I am a foodaholic. I must be allergic to the stuff cause it makes me swell up too~~:scared1: You will be happy to know that chocolate is what has helped me lose the weight. I buy Pure Protein, Chocolate Deluxe flavor, bars. 150 calories, a tiny bit of carbs, lots of nutrition and I keep them in the fridge which makes them even more dense and filling. I eat two a day in between meals. I could not surive without them. Chocolate is my favorite food group and low cal cocoa just was not doing it for me. These are easy to toss in the car when I am going to be in town and want to avoid fast food. That being said, for ice cream lovers, - are you aware that the McD ice cream cone is the best diet value? Only 140 calories and not much fat. I often eat ONE of these instead of a meal when I am in town. On cold days Wendy's chili fills the need. You can get a side salad and pour some of the chili over it for a more filling meal too. Tricks, I got tricks. Check out Dottie's weight loss on the web for lots of WW recipes and such. I do low carb but count the points as well.

keliblue, I do not know why this is but in spite of the fact that I wallpaper, paint, lay carpet and currently am doing some carpentry work on the back porch that does not seem to count as exercise BUT if I walk in circles at the gym across the street it does. It is perplexing. I have friends who say they found somethng they like to do and thus exercise that way. I sometimes use shopping and make myself walk up and down ALL of the aisles before starting to shop.

It would have been ever so much easier not to have gotten into this shape in the first place. :sad1:

Painting almost done. Demolition next. I like demolition!!

I hear ya! I am trying to add more movement. I try not to overeat too much, but while I am nursing I am always hungry. I figure the only smart thing to do is move more. Still a challenge though. Made it to Curves twice last week, and hoping to get there at least twice if not 3 times this week.

DD13 started going with me, which helps a lot. She does not need to lose any weight as she is still growing and quite average all around. But I want to instill in her a healthy lifestyle NOW, so she sticks with it later in life.
We have a good time together! :cheer2:

Seriously though, I did lose 4 lbs last trip to WDW, and we ate like fools on the free dining plan, so it can be done. All that walking and sweating, I guess. (It was August.)

Next month we go to WDW!!! :cool1:  :dance3: :yay: :woohoo:

Well, I guess we should all start walking. We need to get our feet ready anyway. 6 weeks will be here before you know it.

Nursing does that Sarah, unfortunately for me, I didn't LOOSE while nursing as people claim happens. Instead I gained, 10# more!!! I was seriously considering Curves, or Jazzercise, but I don't really want to go by myself. It is so nice you have DD to go with you!

Becky:hug:

Alaska air is having a sale right now, just anounced yesterday:cloud9:

Thank you!!! I'll go on their website & check out their fares right now.

I was thinking AK was Animal Kingdom, not Alaska. I was wondering what that had to do with airfare :rotfl: Can you tell I got Disney on the brain. That's ok, 44 more days to go until I can get my fix.
Haha...that is too funny. I guess we are all Disney fans here & it would be obvious to think that AK is Animal Kingdom. I get asked all the time if AK is the abbreviation for Arkansas too. :)

Hope everyone is having a great afternoon. One day closer!!! :)

I haven't been walking all summer because of a foot problem. Last year we gained weight from the dining plan and having my parents with me (they don't walk as fast and as far) I think my foot is almost better, but I'm a little scared it will hurt a lot at Disney and I am sooo out of shape! :sad2:

Thanks for the reminder to get myself in gear - My DD and I are going to start walking at night :yay: :yay:

It is so true that we will have ever so much more fun if we walk and get in better shape for the parks. Do not forget to wear comfortable and broken in shoes as well. No new shoes!! If your feet ain't happy no other body part will be either.

LorilieMarie, just walk circles around your parents. It will help you get in shape and bug the heck out them. A twofer!!! :rotfl2: When they are sitting and taking a well earned rest at the parks you could go shopping or look around a bit. Oops, see that you have a DD so you are not the teen I imagined you were. Heck, go ahead and bug your parents. They probably miss it by now. :dance3:

aksunshine, I have many nurse friends and they all complain about the same thing. I am betting that you get plenty of exercise but it is all that great homemade food and snacks that everyone brings in and grateful patients family bring that is getting you. Hard to resist and especially if you work a quiet shift. Good luck. Oops! You are not a Nurse but are nursing.

I am feeling like Emily Latella (you youngsters probably do not know who that is though) :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Demolition going slowly. Paint drying nicely in the 90 plus heat. I ,however, am extremely wet and dripping. I prefer to think of it as the ounces falling off. Unfortunately a cup of water will soon restore them. :sad2:

I sure do know Emily Latella :rotfl: One of the best SNL skits EVER !!

Now since I am hard of hearing I am often excused for mixing stuff up but I guess I can no longer read either. Insanity runs in families, you get it from your children ya know??

keliblue, you are either older than I envision or stay up late at night watching old TV shows. Heck, I am so old I remember when SNL was funny!!!:rotfl2:

aksunshine, back in the olden days, when I were young, my mom used to nurse for 2-3 years as it was believed it acted like a contraceptive. Innocence. BTW, she had 8 children and never did figure out what caused it. :dance3: I prefer to think that she greatly enjoyed me and kept trying to have another one just like me cause I was the oldest. My younger siblings should be grateful. :cheer2:

Sweating like crazy. I am sure glad you all cannot see me in my work clothes. I am not a picture of sartorial splendor on a good day and this sure is not one of them.

Waiting for paint to dry and then back to the pits.

Yeah, they always tell you about the burning calories part, but not the part about the fat reserve your body thinks you need to keep nursing. Sigh.

I had a good workout today, so that's a start! :yay:

My dd13 would tend to agree with you on that. I know big families that say "We'll stop when we get an ugly one!" :lmao:

No problem with that here! ;)

My mom nursed my brother for 2 years, I nursed each of mine 6 months, then switched them to enfamil lipil. My DH's aunt had 8, the youngest (now 8) was nursed until she was 4! Can you believe that?

Ok, I'm back! Final payment tomorrow! Yippee!

I broke my toe last month, so I haven't been walking all summer like I planned, but I think I'm finally up to getting on the treadmill. It's time to get into shape before the long slogs down mainstreet at midnight. ;-)

I'm almost to 45 days.

Always ;-)
Hunzi
