Oh no Alicia! Im sorry! Im glad everyones okay! Is the car okay- will you still be able to drive to Disney?

It was his truck. Just a small ding on the fender, driver side, and flattened (hole in side wall) tire. So he has to drive the car. The tire will have to be fixed tomorrow, as Isabelle starts school Tuesday. Since it isn't our district I have to drive her and Matt would get home 20 min. late.

Hi Girls!

So, it's been a rough day. DH worked earlier today (7:30- 3:30) and is changing shifts tonight (11:30- 7:30). So including driving, he was only going to have about 6 hours at home to rest. I say "was" b/c we got in a wreck about 1.5 mi. from home this afternoon. Sheriff reported a "no fault". It is a bad spot and we've seen several, albeti, much worse accidents there. He only got about an hour of sleep and he is a little sore.

Sorry to hear that Alicia...but I'm glad your dh is OK!

Hey Aries1980, we'll be at Ohana on 9/23 at 4:00! Maybe we'll see ya there.

Here's our plans for the GLOW day. We have 8:20 ADR's for Chef Mickey's and when we get done with that we'll just pop back to the resort for the party. It starts at 10 right? Looks like we'll be there just in time.

aksunshine, I am so thankful that it was a dent in the truck rather than in your hubby or someone else. It is a bummer any old way though. Seems life smacks us up side the head every once in awhile. I have come to think that is a reminder to us to appreciate boring.

I love the Roly Poly cake. I used to do BD cakes all the time, not nearly as good though. I enjoyed doing it but now store bought cakes are the rage. The last cake I did was a guitar cake for my youngest grandson. Nothing like a late night trip to Cracker Barrel for licorice whips to prove how much you love them!!

School starts here tomorrow!! I love my grandson but more so when he is only here a few days a week instead and nearly everyday. Have a suspicion he feels the same way.

Sun/Alicia Glad things are safe - how scary! School starts tomorrow? Lucky dogs!! We have another week!! DD is driving us crazy!!

I've read varying start times of the party - its our Spectromagic night - so we will head back to pop after the parade!!

DS birthday is Saturday - but he'll be at Univ of IL - so we'll celebrate Thurs, how I would love to do a RolyPoly Olly cake for him!! He loved that show!! (he's 21 today!)

I would volunteer to do the GLOW stuff but with my circumstances I cannot hardly make a promise in my 'real' and more certain life.

Would it not be possible to leave the GLOW stuff at the luggage area to be picked up?

Well actually, we did get a bit of bad news last week I recently had an MRI done because of headaches and the results came back bad. They will be running further tests and a brain tissue sample this week. Evidently I have two small blood vessels at the top of my head (which make my legs work) that are showing signs of weekness and might need to be addressed soon. If that happens our trip will have to be cancelled. I am crossing my fingers and praying everyday for a good outcome. The reason this is so critical is because it runs in the family my grandfather passed at the age of 47 and my mother at 41 from this. Good news is... they have caught it early in my case. So.. I am hanging in there and not letting it ruin my planning

keliblue, what GOOD news!! Before you think me entirely crazy let me explain why. Last year, after returning from DW, I took my healthy husband in for a routine checkup and he was found to have a similar condition to what you have, aortic aneurysm. I freaked out at first but now that I have calmed down I have come to realize that it was, in fact, GOOD news!

Imagine if he and yourself went on without knowing that you had a ticking time bomb? Now that you know you can take care of the situation or monitor it until it becomes necessary rather than just letting it explode without warning?

You know, you WILL take care of yourself AND we will all be sending you Pixie Dust and good wishes for your well being.

Linda I was thinking the same thing!! Kelli take in all the and and be surrounded and lifted up in our positive thoughts and prayers!! What an astounding history you have - and good for you for being pro active and getting to the doctor - take things one day at a time - be surrounded in friendship and prayers and feel His peace - you just need to reach out and feel it!!

Aries I was in our garage and found 2 boxes (well over 100) glow sticks and necklaces - I'm going to ship them down by UPS to us at Pop - I'm not sure if they all will work, but I'll bet most of them do!! Everyone is welcome to what I bring!!

I didn't know you were a Palmer alum!

I was actually closer than you think on Saturday. I spent much of the afternoon in the Village of East Davenport (Five Star Salon & Spa). Went shopping in the evening at Northpark. I should have been doing yardwork but it was just tooo hot!

I'm not a Palmer Alum, My 2 brothers, one sister-in-law and her mother are. I just get to go to the parties because of them. I was really close to the Village of East Davenport before 7:00. My brother-in-law lives on Jersey Ridge. (That house that was restored, added the 4-car garage and an addition on the back - don't know how familiar you are with that street)
