POP CENTURY ... LAST WEEK of SEPT. 07 MEET

I recall losing weight also... the amoung of walking you do more than makes up for the food you are eating on free dining...

Re: Chunky Dunk Bathing Suits -- I also recommend Land's End. I have a cute tankini that looks like a tank top and shorts.

Re: Gaining weight on the Free DDP -- I lost 4 lbs on it last time. All I can figure is that we walked tons and it was soooo hot, I sweated it off. Don't matter how, I'll take it!!!!

Hoping for the same this time.

Yep, Land's end - AWESOME - got a bottom tankini (after trying them on at a store I thought, no way!) with a skirt - perfect - - and then a top that "holds the girls in" (not up - I cant find a good suit, but then my top is as big as my bum!)

I also did not gain on the FREE DDP - and there is no way on this EARTH that I could suffer in the stifling HEAT and HUMIDITY in JEANS!! Nope, never - I know people behind me have an ugly site (I've been told something about vericose viens and cottage cheese thighs - :confused3 I cant see it, so oh well!)

I agree, my dh loves me - what's more important - - - I'm trying and each day *I* love me better -

Feel free to join other like minded souls as we take up Utahmama's challenge to lose 20#'s in 20 weeks... or just one pound a week before free dining..

We have an attitude of 'what works for you is great - take what encouragement you need, give what you can!!" Its all positive!!

I won't go into a store to try on suits either :sad2: You would hear a woman Screaming in Horror :scared1:in the changing room :rotfl: I bought both of mine on line at LaneBryantCatalog.com they have really cute suits for Plus size beauty like ourselves :dance3:

First off...how in the heck do I multi-quote people :rotfl: ...still haven't figured that one out! :confused3

Kelli, Disneymom5, eeyore 45 thanks for the tip about Lane Bryant and Lands End catalogs. I don't think I could order a suit without trying it on first though which brings me back to the point of not wanting to try them on :headache: Oh well, we'll see what happens...Now, Tanya and disneymom5 if you're right and I can lose weight when I go to Disney that would be :cool1:

At least all this Disney planning and shopping keeps my mind off my post-baby(x2) body and after a little glow juice I won't care anyway :rotfl: ;)

MMCH - no worries, actually Lands End has a "virtual Model" that does help - it is scary for us ... "plus sizers"

and to multi quote - look at the bottom right of a post you are reading - see the " + " sign - click on it... it will turn to a " - " then when you are finished clicking on + changing them to - You hit "post" and viola, like magic... alll those posts you hit + will magically appear...

and also, within the "
if there are several things I "have to comment on" I will change to a red color to comment... or sometimes I'll delete pictures or non pertinent info... and start "talking" after the [ end quote ] signal...

:wizard: to you!

Trust me, I thought the same thing but if you use their handy little weight chart thing and measure before you order, It is really easy and I got the right size (huge:sad2: ) the first time I tried . Also you can send it back in the same bag it came in if you don't like it..no need to add postage:yay:

Re: Land's End bathing suits - 1) They run a little big (that's a good ego boost!)
2) You can return to a nearby Sears store and save postage.

I LOVE mine. I also love my capris I just got from there -- a nice alternative to either jeans OR shorts. ;)
Land's End can be pricey, but I have NEVER regretted anything I have purchased there.

HI, Everyone!!! We are getting closer and closer to DISNEY!! :woohoo: :woohoo: I can't wait!!!

I still plan to bring some items for the glow juice, but I figure I will wait until a little closer to time and then just bring whatever is needed, i.e. whatever is left. I can bring whatever, since we are driving down.

We bought some glow Mouths too! I am not sure what they are and DH says he Ain't gonna wear that. He draws the line at glow necklaces :rotfl:

Aksunshine - I am fine w/ getting my necklaces at the party. But, whatever is most convienent for you works for me.

The Chunky Dunk discussion is cracking me up too! I think we are all Way too body concious! My main requirement in a bathing suit is that it holds the "girls" in tight w/out straining my neck in the process :rotfl2: I have a tendancy to disregard others opinions though. I just wear what I like and don't really care if others think :scared1: I'm scary :rotfl: I agree w/ what was said earlier... my DH loves me the way I am. I'm not looking to impress anyone. I say you've gotta get out their and enjoy yourself, NO matter What!! :dance3:
AND, I say NO WAY to wearing jeans in Florida! :scared1: I would totally pass out!! Find some comfortable loose fitting shorts and you'll be Much more comfortable!! And remember, everyone is too busy looking at all the Disney magic to care what your legs, butt, or stomach look like anyway!! :hippie:

Have a good week everyone!!

It's June 24th and I haven't worn anything but my jeans yet!! I know I am way too self-conscious. Can't help it!!!:guilty:

Okay, I'm going to give this a shot as I just signed up for the boards about an hour ago.

I found this thread and am very excited! I'll be staying at Pop from 9/22 to 10/2. My friend, Shirley, and I have ADRs at CM the evening we arrive at 7:00 and were planning on watching Wishes from the beach at the Poly with a LapuLapu in hand :o)

Are newcomers welcome at the Glow Party? Is it to late to join you after Wishes (say about 10:00)?

This is our fifth stay at Pop and our third time on the Free Dining plan. Shirley likes to sleep in so if anyone is an early riser and wants to join me at the parks any day, I would welcome the company. I should warn you though - I'm a huge Pal Mickey nut and turn into a big 10 year old the minute I get on Disney property.

ADRs are all made and we are just waiting for the 60 day mark to reserve the Lunch with an Imagineer at the Brown Derby. We wanted to do the Imagineer Dinner at Artist Point but is is only offered every other Thursday and I think we are there on the wrong Thursday.

I also have August 6th marked on the calendar as the day I can make reservations for the Food & Wine Festival Events. Is anyone out there interested in joining me for the Party For The Senses on the 30th or Sweet Sundays on the 30th?

I'll have to compile a list of our ADRs in a postable format (have an Excel spreadsheet right now).

Hope to meet some new Disney friends this trip!
TTFN,
Alisa

We will be leaving on the 23rd but maybe Ill see you at the glow party on the 22nd--please come to it, we are going to have so much fun! This is my first year for mnsshp, Im so stoked!

I'm going by myself that morning. Wasn't able to see the new Nemo show when I was there for my birthday in February so that's a "must do".

DisneyDeeva, we will be at Ak the 23rd also. Maybe we all can meet up. What is the Illumination dessert party? And how much is it?

We will be at Epcot on the 27th also, what is the Party for your senses?

Oh and on Saturday the 22nd we have 8 pm reservations at chef Mickey We will be celebrating my husband's birthday with a cake. We might even see you there.

Very cool MrsPiglet! Unfortunately, the desert party is sold out. It's a private party held on one of the lower patios around the lagoon.

The Party For The Senses is held every Saturday during the Food & Wine Festival. I've been to F & W for several years now and my friend, Shirley, won't go with me. So, this year, I decided I will do it by myself - if I have to.

The Party is a grand tasting held in the Millenium building. It runs around three hours. I've never actually been before. Alll they reviews I've read have been overwhelmingly positive. You get your special wine glass and menu upon entering. Stake out your table and head for the tastings. It's unlimited eats and drinks (I think somewhere between 60 - 100 foods, wine or beer tables). The entertainment has always been roaming acts from Cirque du Soleil. Problem for some is that it is pricey - last year it was $125 per person.

As for CM, I'm sure we'll see you there. Shirley eats really slow. I figure we'll make it to the Poly beach just in time for Wishes at 9:00.
