POP CENTURY ... LAST WEEK of SEPT. 07 MEET

Hello all!

I haven't chimed in lately...so...

My parents were here all weekend. My mom is not quite getting the whole WDW concept, but I guess she will get up to speed once we get there.

I kept trying to talk about the trip with her, and she kept changing the subject. Sigh. :confused3

The only person who wants to plan with me is dd and she's already heard all the details. Pooh. :sad2:

I think I have a very lovely itinerary planned though!
Even if no one cares where they'll be and what they'll be doing.

Once we get there, they'd better just fall in line and do what I say! LOL

Teach them not to be involved in the planning.
:rolleyes1

We care  so just let us get excited with you :dance3:

Morning! I was so excited to hit the 100 day mark and now here I am a week later already .. hopefully all the weeks go by as fast until our trip!

I think I have my extensive itinerary pretty much done, I did it on another site (don't know if I can write it out here?) and it is a program that lets me list all my ADR's plus all my morning afternoon and evening activities and some notes on each page. I'm going to print off the book and laminate it and bring it with me to the parks.

You'd think with us going for 11 days that I'd feel like we had plenty of time to do and see it all lol .. nope. Tell me if you think this is doable ....

Friday September 21 - 6 am flight (hopefully sleep on plane) arrive MCO at 11 Magical Express to POP, leave bags, get to Magic Kingdon by 2
Tour Magic Kingdon utilizing FastPass until 7 (when it closes for MNSSHP that night).
Resort by 8 to swim and bed by 9.

Saturday September 22 - Full day at park. Leave for Magic Kingom at 8 and stay until Wishes at 8pm .. hopefully back at POP by 9:30 and straight to bed. Rest times during the day include brunch at Crystal Palace and lots of shows to get off our feet, hoping that will get us through the day. Can't really fit in a break at the resort this day because of our brunch time ..

Sunday September 23 - Full day at MGM .. arrive at 9 stay until Fantasmic at 8. End of the day consists of dinner at 50's PrimeTime and then straight to Fantasmic to sit for an hour so I'm hoping that helps us not burn out.
Hoping to be in bed by 9:30

Monday September 24 - Full day at Epcot concentrating on FutureWorld. Get to park for 9 am stay until Illuminations at 9 pm. Dining reservations for brunch at 10:30 and dinner at 4:30 so again difficult to fit in touring AND a break in between meals.

Tuesday September 25 - Little one's 3rd birthday. Breakfast at castle at 8 am. Full day again at Magic Kingdon, dinner at Chef Mickeys and Wishes if we can handle it.

Wednesday September 26 - Sleep in a bit, tour World Showcase when it opens. Early night back at resort for laundry/swimming. If we don't make it all day on our other Epcot day we could reschedule Illuminations for tonight.

Thursday September 27 - Breakfastosaurus at 8 at Animal Kingdom, Tour park from 9 until parade is over. Then bus to Wilderness lodge for dinner at Whispering Canyon, possibly make it to campfire at Fort Wilderness but not holding out hope for that lol .. probably back to POP by 7 and early to bed

Friday September 28 - Little Ones Magic Hour 8 am, Bruch at Ohana at 10:30 then back to resort to swim/nap. Back to Magic Kingdon for 4, dinner at LTT 5:30 and then MNSSHP until 11 or 12

Saturday September 29 - Sleep in .. DTD at lunchtime ... Bibbity Bobbity Boutique at 2, then dinner at Grand Floridian and head over to Magic Kingdon for the evening hours.

Sunday September 30 - Magic Kingdom day .. probably will want to get there early if we can handle it .. spend the day at MK and dinner at Chef Mickeys, back to resort by 7 to pack, swim and get to bed for our flight the next day.

OK so am I crazy or is this doable? lol

I have such a hard time allotting hours of my trip to travelling on the bus back and forth to POP and lugging kids and bags to the room, forcing them to sleep and then forcing them to wake up, packing up again and lugging back to the bus and park. I'm sure the kids will konk out at the parks as need be lol. I can't decide which is better .. the hassle of going back to the resort or pushing through the burn out at the park. Looking back at our 2005 trip I regret not doing more .. but I do remember the shear exhaustion that hit me on day 3 lol. I'm hoping if I plan better to have more down time IN the parks that I can counteract some of the exhaustion.

WOW... you really are packing it in:) I know that we tried to do that 2 years ago with teenagers and just couldn't handle it:sad2: It was the heat mid day in Sept that almost killed us :scared: So, last year we did a.m commando it the parks came back for an afternoon swim (1or 2 ish) or rest the back to the parks for a slower paced evening utilizing EMH till midnight.

Everyone is different but we were so soaked from the humidity that we needed that afternoon stop for our sanity :cloud9:

I agree with Kellis post about taking a afternoon break,. When we went a few years ago we wore ourselves out the first 4 days and were so exahusted that I didnt even want to do parks for the next 2 days...I needed that much of a break:goodvibes

Your Itenerary is doable, If you can handle it...everyones different and quite honestly I am not in the best shape so that may be why I got soo wore out so quickly:thumbsup2 We will definitly take afternoon breaks at the resort for a couple hours each day.

Can you PM me with your itenerary website, I need help planning mine. Thank you

PM waiting for you :)

I think what will make me feel better (cause I know how extreme it is lol) is to plan all the must dos in the morning and then have fillers in the afternoon and take it real easy. Then we can chose each day if we want to give up the afternoon plans for the break or if relaxing in the parks sound better than making out way back to the resort.

Wow!!! That's quite the plan with a 3 year old!!! Is she really going to go full tilt boogy for 4 solid days? I can't even get the adults in my family to do that! JMHO but I think you're setting yourself up for a major meltdown. Sept is the slow time of year and I don't think you'll need to go from open to close everyday to see everything. You might want to slow down a little! And don't forget our little party on 9/22!!:wizard:

We care  so just let us get excited with you :dance3:

See, I knew I liked you all for a reason! :goodvibes

I typed up an abbreviated itinerary and a handy hints and packing tips for the inlaws and mom today. That helped me feel a little better.

Why don't people understand that the planning just enhances the experience?!? :confused3 :hippie:

Less than 90 days.....

Some people do! DH LIKES Disney, not LOVES it, like me. He isn't a theme park guy, luckily it is so much more than rides. But I don't even think he'd like it as much as he does if not for my planning. He openly admits that the only way to do Disney is to have an itinerary. He has a friend that went to MK 1 time, and hates all Disney, won't go back, b/c they didn't plan, didn't know where many things were, and had to wait in super long lines to only go on about 5 things all day.

That's crazy.

I think my family is trusting in me to pull a rabbit out of a hat, because they have heard us talk so much about how I plan and how our trips are so great.

I am only hoping they cut me slack on the things you can't plan for...weather, cranky guests, lines, etc, etc.....

Good morning people!!! we are at 89 days whoo hooo!!! Got the tickets for mnsshp party orderd, adrs have been done, purchased all the glow stuff I need, making reservation today for adventure cruise. I think Im about ready!!!
