POP CENTURY ... LAST WEEK of SEPT. 07 MEET

Just popping in to say to  everyone!!!!!

Babypiglet-We will be at Chef Mickey's on Sept 22 but we have ADR's at 5:10pm so we'll probably miss you :sad2:
BTW, gotta love those LGMH's-my dh liberated 54 the other day! :rotfl:

Keliblue-no car for us either, hoping the buses won't be too bad!

:goodvibes Jenni

I need to go & get some more Mickey heads. It was so funny last time when I got them though. I felt so guilty about it & felt like I was stealing. I was looking around making sure that no one saw me grabbing them. You would've thought I was doing something terribly illegal by the way I was acting.:rotfl:

Hello everyone!

Kelli- we were looking at renting a Van to get from GA to Orlando since there will be 5 of us and a tight fit in a car... but the prices are Way too high. Now my dad is talking about taking his truck and all 5 of us squeezing in it so we will have the extra cargo space. there is an extended cab, but :scared: I'm a bit nervous about the fit. we'll see. Good luck finding good rates!

On the Mickey Heads - I got a bunch in all different colors the other day when i was out of town :rotfl: haven't gotten brave enough to go to my local HD :rolleyes1 I am making magnets out of them to put on my cabinets at work. I am going to use them to countdown my weight loss til september! (stole this from one of you over on the Mojito Madness thread :thumbsup2 )

Hope everyone had a good day today! I had today off of work, but have to go back tomorrow :sad1: I went to B&N and bought the 2007 Unofficial Guide today! :woohoo: I had this guide back in 05 and wanted the updated version. I thought about buying a different guidebook, but didn't like the layout of any of them as much as I like the unofficial guide. So, now I have lots of reading to do! Last time I read it front to back, only skipping the W/ Kids section since we don't have any yet ;) This time I will skim it and then pass it on to DMIL and hope she reads it!!

Have a wonderful evening!

I feel the same way, that's why I make my husband do the dirty work! :lmao:
Oh, and I even convinced my mom to go in and get me some and oddly enough I'm the only one who feels uncomfotable taking piles of LGMH's because she came out with the entire stack too! :rotfl2:
Now, the question is what exactly am I going to do with all (80 plus and counting) green ones I have?! :rotfl: I don't think I'll need THAT many for our trip! :upsidedow

Foxfiregrrl- I'm using the other colored ones to make a countdown calendar to WDW for my 3 year old dd when it gets a little closer! I have the 2007 unofficial guide too...love it! We plan on using some of the touring plans if the parks are crowded!

Jenni - I don't think that you will end up needed to follow the touring plan too closely because I don't anticipate it being too crowded when we are down there. I think they are good to have and use as a general guide, but when we were there in 05 during free dining it wasn't crowded at all. The longest we waited was about 30 minutes at MGM during evening EMH. Other than that I don't really think that we waited more than 15 minutes for anything and most rides only took the time it takes to walk through the line area. The thing I don't like about the touring plans (any of them not just UG) is that they have you bounce all over the park which is a LOT of extra walking. I think you do enough walking as it is. If it were real crowded then I understand that, but HOPEFULLY it won't be :thumbsup2 :wizard:

Enjoy your reading! :coffee:

I hope you're right about the crowds being low and us not having to use them...it just seems that the "secret" may be out about September being a great time to go to WDW so I'm a little nervous that it will be crowded :) I saw in the touring plans that they skip attractions and such and have you go back...I was just worried that since we have never been there before we would be roaming around the park clueless with no plan and really get ourselves in a mess of long lines and not really seeing/doing too much. Either way, we can't wait!!! :cheer2:

Hi Farrah! Sorry to hear you were  over the weekend, strep throat is awful. I'm glad you're feeling better though! Get some rest and take care of yourself!!! :goodvibes

I'v heard several people using them for countdowns & also for their weight loss goals. I don't have that many yet, but I'm thinking that making a countdown when we get to like 50 days would be kind of fun.

Maybe I should send my mom to HD because she is not shy at all & she'd probably be more then happy to grab a handful for me:rotfl:

I'm really hoping it isn't too busy. We went the first week of October 2 years ago & we hardly waited in line for anything. The weather was nice & it was such a great time to visit. I was worried about it being busy since free dining is offered, but we are there towards the end of the promotion so I'm hoping that it's not too crowded.

I love going in the fall though, the weather is nice & it is just a really fun time with the MNSSHP and Food & Wine Festival.

Hi Angela :) Welcome to the group. Don't feel shy around this group, everyone is so nice & such a great group of people.

How's everyone doing today? Farrah...GET BETTER!!!

:wave2: Becky!

Doing fine over here...dd had her last day of pre-school yesterday and now she's off for summer vacation so we're looking forward to warm summer days and letting the kids play in their little pools and planning baby Ava's first birthday next month! I'm so glad it's almost June and getting closer to WDW everyday!

How are you doing? :)

I'm doing great! Well, except that I am super tired. Hunter got his first two teeth this past week so he has been a little bit fussy & hasn't wanted to sleep. Luckily I had a long weekend off from work, but last night it was after midnight and he still was up crying. We finally gave in & got a popsicle out of the freezer because we didn't know what else to do.

I love the name Ava! Do you have a theme for her birthday party yet?

Awe Farrah, I hope you are feeling better!

Jenni, I love the name Ava too! If I ever have another girl, which I'm not "planning" on, that name would be at the top of my list.

Be brave girls, Mickey Heads are just a grasp away!!!

I can SO relate Becky! When Levi cut his first 2, it was AWEFUL! He was even vomitting from it. I'd never heard of that before, b/c Isabelle didn't do that, but apparently it happens. I hope Hunter gets to feeling better and you get some sleep!

Aww, poor little guy! Teething is the worst and you feel so bad for them because there's not too much you can do...And the first two were always the worst for my girls because they weren't used to the sensation. Nothing wrong with a popsicle....Ava saw her older sister Madison eating freeze pops and wanted to try one so we let her and she loves them! You should see the way she starts pointing and her little arms start waving and legs start kicking when she sees one :rotfl: Plus, I think it feels good on her gums. I can relate to lack of sleep! Ava has NEVER once slept through the night yet and gets up every 2-3 hours to nurse and then goes back to sleep. Thank goodness for :coffee: or I'd never make it!

Thank-you about the name! I'm not sure about a theme yet....it's going to be a family party so we'll probably keep it pretty simple and just 1st birthday/pink themed? Both of the girls love mickey mouse clubhouse though so maybe I'll do something with that. Oh, decisions, decisions :)
